yea you are right. but being able to up my shutter from 1/200 to 1/640 made all the difference in the world.

And to the OP, an 80-400 f/4 with AF-S and VR would be well over 5,000,considering that the AF-S 200-400 f/4 VR costs 5,100.

Well, given that I already said I couldn't afford $5000, it hardly matters how much higher than that the price would be.
