One day I’ll pick up a switch when there’s a big sale going on, just for the Zelda games...

system if 3 years old and so is Zelda.

Price is still $60. Mario kart is 8-9 year old game as it came out for wii-u. Still $60.

you think apple are criminals :)

honestly wait till the new system. BOW is good but you post on the PlayStation forum.
It is a more simple version of horizon or Ghost of tsumihma.

both ps4 games are better in every single aspect. What Zelda has is nostalgic feelings. And it’s a game you can pick up and play for 15-30 minutes. Or just shut off your brain and do what ever you want in that time. Unlike the other 2 where you could get attacked by something small and die.

$320 which is what it would cost you to buy Zelda isn’t worth it. Game also has 0 story to it. You spend 30-50 hours to beat it for it to just go ok. Let’s keep walking Link.

Mario odyssey was super fun too as well but again it’s like a 5 hour game.

Hehe, yeah, that's why I said "big sale" :) I've been playing games from the SNES and Link is a part of my childhood but it's indeed not worth 320 bucks for a trip down nostalgia lane, but one day I'm gonna pick up one, maybe second hand.

Today Xbox are running a singles day promotion. I have bought the following games at a 60-80% discount for my Series X:

Ryse Son of Rome
Kona
Okami HD
Disneyland Adventures

All for less than £30. As a result I have unsubscribed from game pass.

These games along with cyberpunk and Cold War/Gear5 should keep me busy the coming 2-3 months.

Hopefully there will be good black Friday deals.

Really interested in hearing your thoughts about it.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to play it for long (by the time it had installed and updated it was almost time to go back to work; couldn't take the day off because we have a big project) but the first 15 minutes were fun enough. I've never played the PS3 version so can't really compare it. Three hours until home time!

Buckle up. It's brutal! :D

My suspicion was correct. Had my first death (aside from the Vanguard Demon in the outpost, who I believe you're 'supposed' to die to) after discovering the Tower Knight. Died to him a second time, then went into the doldrums where I died 3-4 more times just trying to get back to him. However, on the third boss attempt, things paid off!

Nice! That's the giant with the shield? I don't remember anything about how to fight him but he looked so cool.

That's the one. My experience with earlier (later?) Souls games taught me to ignore him and take down all the crossbowmen first. Then I just swung at him until things started happening :)

Demon's Souls scarred me and I never played other souls games! :D

I wasn't quite feeling Star Wars Squadrons so just picked up and started playing Elite Dangerous. Boy what have I gotten myself into, how do people find the time to get into games this complex. :) Working through the tutorials and taking baby steps at the moment, desperately trying not to get stranded out in the void without fuel.

Happy to report I'm already really good at overshooting my selected destinations by a few lightyears here or there.

Just finished replaying ‘The Outer Worlds‘ on Switch to see how much the big patch from last month helped (answer: somewhat, more in some areas than others - still possible to have enemies do a ‘teleport ambush’ due to lagging pop-in, but graphics are better and everything is more consistent).

Now playing ‘Fire Emblem Three Houses’ on Switch - haven’t played a Fire Emblem game since ‘Shadow Dragon’ for DS (so about 10 years or so), always stress out about these games - to the point where I chose ‘casual mode’ in spite of actually being decent at strategy games :D

Just beat Final Fantasy 7 remake (rate it a 6/10. Game play better than before but not great, story is awful and they broke the game in multiple parts so you don’t get half the characters. A lot of filler to make it multiple games as well)

now using the ps plus collection until Xmas for my family to get me ps5 games because they are angry I buy everything I want before Christmas.

So Days Gone is next on my list tho I really want to beat Resident evil 3 that is only $15 or Dragon Ball Kakorat that is $15 for Black Friday.

Ouch, that's a harsh score for FF7R. I absolutely loved that game, the combat mechanics are loads of fun. Can't wait for part 2 on the PS5!

I started playing Days Gone a couple of days ago on the PS5, had the game for at least 6 months, but like many games, it got put on my "PS4 games I'll play on the PS5"-list.

My current planning of games after Days Gone;
- The Witcher 3 (if patched with PS5 upgrade)
- CyberPunk 2077 (got it pre-ordered but waiting for the PS5 patch)
- AC Valhalla (had it since launch, tested on PS4 but had buggy sound, so pushed it back so it can get some needed patching)

After a hiatus of a couple of weeks due to illness, I have returned to Demon's Souls and have now defeated the Fool's Idol, on the first attempt no less!

I've also discovered the Flamelurker but haven't beat it yet. I think I know the trick to it now, but I'm going to need to farm some lotuses before doing another attempt. Here's hoping!

Completed the story in Days Gone and while there were still some bugs that made me completely reload the game (doesn't take that long on the PS5, but still...) I really liked the game. Solid gameplay riding your bike around in the open zombie world. Killed a horde of 600ish zombies last night and must say it has been a while where a game got me on edge like that 🙃

Next up in two days: CP2077!

I completed Days Gone back in April, and even though it’s a good first attempt by Bend studio, I wouldn’t pay over $10 for it, given it’s still loaded with glitches and frame rate issues. I enjoyed the combat, and the stealth is really well executed, but there are so many technical issues that never really were resolved. I know they put a lot of hard work into that game, but after so many delays with the launch, I expected more. Nonetheless, I purchased it new, but I probably should’ve waited.

I returned to Demon's Souls yesterday and discovered the Adjudicator boss, who was thankfully fairly easy. Got him on the first attempt, and also managed to get a bonus trophy for not making him fall down. I'm not exactly sure what was going on there; I probably cheated a bit by standing up on the top ledge and firing magic at him...

Edit: Leechmonger also down on the first attempt. I didn't realise how close to the boss I was; I'd already cleared out all of the Depraved Chasm except for the last couple of enemies! There are a couple of big guys just before the boss who hit like trucks. Using the "Warding" spell made them trivial.

Gave Flamelurker another couple of goes but it was a disaster. I'm doing worse now than I was before! Do the demons get stronger when you level up?
