Playing the same games.. Im currently at 70% on the AK main mission, but right now I am focusing on all the side missions, I heard its the only way to unlock the better ending. On the witcher, well I never played the other 2, but this one is great!!

I'm right with you on main story percentage and picking up the side missions. I'm done with the murder mysteries, Two Face and some other I don't want to spoil. I might sound like a "noob" but some of those riddler trophies I can't be bothered with I guess I'll leave them for last.

When I'm not playing Witcher 3 and AK I'm getting in some TLOU multiplayer which I still think is one of the best multiplayer games out.

Bless

Has anyone here played Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare? I want to know if it's online only or is there a single player campaign mode as well?

You can play with bots kind of, the sequel is supposed to have a proper single player campaign. It's good fun game - i got it on both PS54 & XB1 - however it takes forever to unlock items and level up your characters. In many ways it's kind of like splatoon - but it has more maps than spatoon - though splatoon does have better single player.

I keep hearing great things about the game. But I dislike the fact that I need PS Plus/Xbox Live Gold in order to play.

One benefit of PS Plus was that only a couple of months back the game was a freebie ;) I don't mind paying for PS Plus as long as the free content keeps coming - I pay for both PS Plus and XBL and I don't really game online at all tbh, but think the free content and cloud storage of saves just about justifies the cost for both :)

If I do get the game I'll get it for the Xbox One. I love PvZ and I used to play the mobile version all the time. I still do occasionally. I also have the original game on my MBP.

I've been playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for GBA using VisualBoyAdvance.

The Zelda series is iconic; I find the music and atmosphere appealing; but my childhood memories of this particular game involve a lot of frustration and confusion. I'm currently stuck on the boss in the East Palace, but whenever I die, it starts me over from the beginning. This would be okay if the parts between the beginning and boss battle were interesting, but it's fairly easy and time consuming.

I'm considering trying something like Ocarina of Time in an attempt to endear the series to myself.

I absolutely loved A Link To The Past on my SNES. Still own it!

I started South Park: Stick of Truth last night. So far, I'm loving it! Humor is very true to the show! (So glad my wife and I spent ten minutes to decide on a funny name for our character! :D)

The Legend of Zelda series is probably one of the best series of all time. The games are simply amazing and I have enjoyed every single Zelda game I have played.

Play the Zelda on the Philips CD-i and make that statement ;) !!!! I have ..... it was beyond painful and cost an absolute fortune.

Thankfully most people don't even know about the CD-i games so it's best forgotten. Nintendo only ever licensed Zelda & Link twice after.

Once to Capcom for 'The Minish Cap' (one of my personal favourites) and of course lately to Koei/Bandai with Hyrule Warriors.

LOL what in the world is this?? It looks so bad. Had no idea of its existence.

Nintendo & Philips partnered up for a while - and then amicably split but Nintendo allowed Zelda to appear on the CD-i.

There were 3 Zelda games - two side scrollers and one Zelda Adventure traditional top down. All were awful - and sadly I had them all. I had a damaged childhood ;)

Actually in fairness - the side scrollers were at least 'playable'. Zelda's Adventure was just brutal. Atari 2600 E.T. scale of terrible.

Oh gosh this is a disaster. I'm laughing because of how bad this is.

Success! I'm beginning to think that the reason this took so long is because it's actually a rather large part of the game. I think I have to collect two more of these pendant things, and then there will be some sword revival, and presumably a boss battle. I could be wrong, but that almost retroactively makes the previous difficulty worth it.

I remember watching an abridged play-through of the side scrollers. There is something so off-putting about listening to a character explain how to move (Portal 2 handles this process rather nicely with Wheatley). Also, the animation. Oh, and voice acting. I think the series would've benefited from keeping Link a silent protagonist.

PS3: Tales of Xillia, Final Fantasy XIII-2
3DS: Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies

Although those games look ridiculous nowadays, aged horribly and are easily laughed off, I don't think that was the case when they got released - although I must have missed them altogether back in the day. I mean the graphics are totally awesome when compared to others of that time and having voice actors (albeit lol-worthy now) was a huge step forward technically - I bet there weren't many games at all that did that before, if any.

Almost sure back in the day I would have wanted that quite badly if I had known about it.

Ori and the Blind Forest on XBox One.

Simply beautiful game. The controls are a challenge, but I love the game so far

Yeah it's on sale now ... I'm thinking of picking it up myself. I just get the feeling as soon as I do - it'll be the free game of the month on XBL !

Replaying The Last of Us remastered on the PS4 with the DLC.

I forgot just how amazing this game is, great story, and how well done the characters and environment are. Easily one of the top games ever made on the Playstation iMO

Further success! I'm still not a fan of the combat at times, but this palace was manageable. The enemies were much tougher which was compensated for by the smaller size of the dungeon. Here's to hoping for less combat and more puzzley/exploratory stuff.

Fair point. It reminds me of the success of Space Ace, which featured sampled speech and rotoscoped graphics overseen by ex-Disney Don Bluth. I think it was largely a memory test and some platforming with shoddy collision detection, but it looked and sounded good enough to get home ports around the same time as the CD-i Zelda series.

Oh, that's only the beginning :)

Good… I think. I mean, there are definitely aspects of it that I find enjoyable. Using a newly acquired power to knock down a book from a shelf without any explicit instruction was cool, and there's a nice easter egg whereby pulling on a portrait of Mario sends Link flying backwards, surrounded by money.

Pfft, get the cartridge ;)

Keep meaning to play through this. Bought it for my SNES... had it on GBA too and the Wii virtual console, but I always give up about halfway in. Back in Feb I finished Link Between Worlds and it rocketed up to my favourite game this generation. So I feel I've got to go back and finish the first one. Somehow feels loads better on the SNES too compared to the Wii.

Currently playing Batman Arkham Knight still. Really enjoying it but I only throw a few hours into it a week. Should be finished in a few years! Cannot get over how rich and deep the world feels. Picked up Splatoon but haven't played it yet!

I've got all these new games and the game I've been playing this week mostly is 'Animal Crossing New Leaf' on the new 3DsXL

Haven't played splatoon too much since getting it though I am also really enjoying Yoshi in Wii U.

Batman and Witcher 3 are getting forgotten about at the moment.

I technically have the cartridge; it's what I used when I was a kid. Oddly enough, when I inserted it into my DS and then GameBoy, it didn't work at all. I opened it up and found the insides to be a scratched mess. I have no idea how they got scratched inside of a cartridge which was tri-point screwed shut.

I am considering getting a USB SNES controller.
