My experience from last 24 hours.

A lot goes through, and what does originally show with red-notDelivered, goes through fine after it seems to be converted. My dad gets the Heart video, as a video. He's on iOS9, my friend gets the handwritten things as if it's just an image. Invisible text goes through for example, it will show like a normal msg with right below it (made with invisible ink) or something along those lines. There was one thing that I dont quite remember what I made, but it ended up as a black square with a circle in it that I certainly didn't make. haha. I suspect that some things that might be experienced as animated as just converted to a plain image with an explanation below it (emphasized handwritten message). etc.
I am sure it's slightly confusing to my friends, but I poked them saying I will bother them with drunk msgs, and they didn't care, so its all good hehe.

Kind of scary, though. What if there's an emergency of some kind, and someone is using those enhanced messages to get one's attention, but it never goes through because the reader hasn't updated to iOS 10 yet?
If you send a SLAM message for example, it will show as a normal message and below it it says (slam msg) .. it will arrive just fine. In my experience. They get marked as [read]

You get a error message right away. It's only when using the new features, standard texts aren't effected. Can't imagine a situation where someone would be using the new options in an emergency anyway

I accidentally sent a drawing just like the one above on the public Beta 1 and my brother received it. But i haven't tried invisible ink yet.

Apologies if this has already been answered. My partner and I both have the iOS 10 (Beta) - I have an iPhone 5s and she has an iPhone 6. If she sends me a message and uses an animation such as confetti it'll 'play' fine on my phone but if I try and send her one she'll get the message with 'sent with Confetti' in brackets.....any ideas?

Glad to see that Apple took iOS 9 more into account with iOS 10 Beta 2.

Whoa, that message formatting on iOS 9 looks weird, especially with the black message bubble. Thanks for sharing, and let's hope Apple cleans things up a little more for Beta 3.

Unfortunately they go through. I accidentally sent my fiancee like a dozen random doodles when I was playing around with the sketchpad feature not realizing that they send automatically.

Off topic question about the handwriting feature...anyone know how to change the background color? I'd rather have colored scribbling on white than the black square...

There's two handwriting things now: The sketch accessable from the left of the text input. That's the black background one. Then the full screen handwriting input available in portrait mode from the e button in the lower right of the keyboard. It has a white background.

I have used every feature and sent them to my husband's phone which is not using beta. It all went through and he can see the gifs, handwriting, new emojis

Ah ha found it in landscape mode. Thanks!

Corrected: "Then the full screen handwriting input available in landscape mode from the e button in the lower right of the keyboard. It has a white background."
