I can't belive this phone lives for another iOS version. 6 years of new OSes, the equivalent of Lion on PPC. IDK if i will update yet tho.
iOS 12.5.3? You've just prompted me to install it on my iPhone 6.

I have a 6S Plus with 0 ideas for the future besides installing old .IPA files for the apps I use eventually in a few years since this iPhone is jailbreakable forever. I had an iPhone without a headphone jack for almost 2 years and could not stand it. I will never buy earbuds that have a non-user servicable battery, or a phone that can't charge and blare music via headphone jack at the same time. Have some sony earbuds that will last way longer and sound way better then any air pods will. I really am not sure of what phone will be next from this.iOS 12.5.3? I was recently gifted a 12" powerbook G4 1.3ghz w/768mb ram with no strings attached. Thanks @B S Magnet
Anyway... i had a chance to monkey with it a bit tonight. Typing from it now from the newly installed ubuntu 16.04 remix. No boot parameters or anything needed. Just booted from the dvd and installed. Also ran the 12.04 remix live dvd without issue. Next i'll try Void and see how that goes, but so far so good with the nvidia go5200 gfx card.

Hah whoops. Sry my brain is fried. WI weather has been in the mid 90's lately and i'm stuck in a tin box warehouse all day. Fixed my typo/tag. I need sleep.
What year is that G4? Also pretty curious, what internet speeds are you getting?I spent yesterday afternoon using my PowerBook G4 1.33GHz to reset my first-gen Airport Express. I installed the Airport Express as an 802.11b-only access point for the Titanium PowerBook. I didn't realize it didn't have a security protocol configured. After a few tries, I was able configured it to only allow access to the MAC addresses for the PowerBooks.
Actually, I'm more impressed that my first generation Airport Express hasn't croaked.
It's a 2001 500MHz. It's on 9.2 with Classilla. I can't seem to find an internet speed test that works—any recommendations? What year is that G4? Also pretty curious, what internet speeds are you getting?
Have you had a chance to try Speakeasy? It's a 2001 500MHz. It's on 9.2 with Classilla. I can't seem to find an internet speed test that works—any recommendations?
Unfortunately, no joy. It's a secure site—which Classilla can't accessHave you had a chance to try Speakeasy?
I have used it on Intel and M1 Macs, but not yet had a chance to try it with PowerPC Macs, including the mini G4 with OS 9.2.2 loaded. I will try Speakeasy with my PowerPC Macs the next time I am using them and remember.
That sucks, I was hoping it would work but sadly not surprised it doesn't.Unfortunately, no joy. It's a secure site—which Classilla can't access
Does iScroll work on the magnificence that is the Titanium PowerBook? And although the lack of two-finger scroll is admittedly a little tough to get used to...
There is a hack though. Its an artificial limitation…I also discovered that one of the apps I wanted to run, iMovie '09, doesn't run on a G4, only on G5s of a certain speed or higher or early Intels.

Hmm.. Isn't WI near the Canadian border ? I thought it was in the 50s there where you are, or are you far from the Canadian border ?Hah whoops. Sry my brain is fried. WI weather has been in the mid 90's lately and i'm stuck in a tin box warehouse all day. Fixed my typo/tag. I need sleep.
