iOS 12.5.3? You've just prompted me to install it on my iPhone 6. :)
I have a 6S Plus with 0 ideas for the future besides installing old .IPA files for the apps I use eventually in a few years since this iPhone is jailbreakable forever. I had an iPhone without a headphone jack for almost 2 years and could not stand it. I will never buy earbuds that have a non-user servicable battery, or a phone that can't charge and blare music via headphone jack at the same time. Have some sony earbuds that will last way longer and sound way better then any air pods will. I really am not sure of what phone will be next from this.

I was recently gifted a 12" powerbook G4 1.3ghz w/768mb ram with no strings attached. Thanks @Raging Dufus :D
Anyway... i had a chance to monkey with it a bit tonight. Typing from it now from the newly installed ubuntu 16.04 remix. No boot parameters or anything needed. Just booted from the dvd and installed. Also ran the 12.04 remix live dvd without issue. Next i'll try Void and see how that goes, but so far so good with the nvidia go5200 gfx card.

I spent yesterday afternoon using my PowerBook G4 1.33GHz to reset my first-gen Airport Express. I installed the Airport Express as an 802.11b-only access point for the Titanium PowerBook. I didn't realize it didn't have a security protocol configured. After a few tries, I was able configured it to only allow access to the MAC addresses for the PowerBooks.

Actually, I'm more impressed that my first generation Airport Express hasn't croaked.

What year is that G4? Also pretty curious, what internet speeds are you getting?

It's a 2001 500MHz. It's on 9.2 with Classilla. I can't seem to find an internet speed test that works—any recommendations?
Have you had a chance to try Speakeasy?

I have used it on Intel and M1 Macs, but not yet had a chance to try it with PowerPC Macs, including the mini G4 with OS 9.2.2 loaded. I will try Speakeasy with my PowerPC Macs the next time I am using them and remember.

What have I done today? I updated TenFourFox to Feature Parity Release 32 (SPR 1)

"What have you done with ..." appears in the one tab I have open. I usually only ever have one tab open, and it actually looks like a tab on my PowerPC Mac. :) I noticed people complaining about the tabs looking like buttons in the latest release of Firefox, and the buttons still cut off the full title of long titles of web pages, but only cranks like myself complain about stuff like that.

Yesterday, I was doing what my PowerPC Mac is somewhat good at: Printing, Scanning, and creating PDFs!

Why do governments insist on still using PDF Forms? PDF Forms are so broken. I can't easily print from Linux, so I use my PowerPC Mac. I can't easily scan from Linux, so I use my PowerPC Mac. I can do things with PDFs on Linux, but again it is way easier with the PowerPC Mac.

Today, I used my newly-gifted Titanium PowerBook G4 667, courtesy of the great @Raging Dufus, to review a pre-written script I made for WWWDC21 (yes, three Ws) next Monday, to say nothing of the load my G5 carries on a regular daily basis.

One thing I wasn't expecting was its keyboard to end up being the same as that of the Aluminum PowerBooks. And although the lack of two-finger scroll is admittedly a little tough to get used to, I really like how the screen opens and closes, not to mention how much less heat it generates than newer iterations. :)

@micahgartman The website's 'Supported Hardware' section explicitly states that all Titanium PowerBooks are incompatible due to technology constraints, so that would be a no, unfortunately.

It's got DVI. :)

One thing I try to consider when installing an OS on my Macs is what OS version is the best fit? Which version does this Mac really shine on? Running Leopard on my Sawtooth is great and all, but even with an accelerator, SSD, 2 GB of RAM, and a geforce 6200, I will admit that Leopard runs better on my early Intels than it does on my Sawtooth. I also discovered that one of the apps I wanted to run, iMovie '09, doesn't run on a G4, only on G5s of a certain speed or higher or early Intels. I don't have any G5s, so I can't compare Leopard on a G5 vs my Sawtooth or a G5 vs a C2D Mac. Thinking about it, my Sawtooth really shines when it runs OS 9 because it is the fastest OS 9 capable Mac I own and can run some apps better than my G3s can. I was all set to give up OS 9 on the Sawtooth, but then I realized what I was doing was giving up a fast OS 9 experience for a slower Leopard one. So, I have decided to keep Leopard to Intel (or a G5 if I get one) and go back to OS 9 on my Sawtooth, which means bringing back the Radeon 9000 too. I have 9 and Tiger dual booted on separate partitions now. I have Tiger on the Sawtooth for internet purposes as well as Tiger compatible apps that my iBook G3 can't run or run well.

Aside from OS stuff, I discovered that my FW 800 card isn't working properly. It was getting absurdly slow at copying things, so I ended up removing the card and having to go back to using USB 2.

Have yet to come across a game I can’t max out with the Mac OS 9 mini. Unreal Tournament 99 is no different. RAVE rendering looks amazing.

Got absolutely destroyed in capture the flag.

Connected to my tv, wireless keyboard and mouse that use a 2.4GHz receiver and regular AA batteries . External surround sound system via 3.5 mm aux cable with controllable volume. Ethernet to WiFi adapter.

One day, I will have a Mac with a 3DFX card in it and be able to see GLide in all its glory

Well, not exactly a PowerPC, though the profiler says it is. It's a Raspberry Pi 400, running SheepShaver, System 7.6.1, and it works like a charm. Mostly.

It boots and loads the desktop, but now I have to work out how to get some software on it!

Hmm.. Isn't WI near the Canadian border ? I thought it was in the 50s there where you are, or are you far from the Canadian border ?

Few words about com-port (rs-232) & PowerMac :) (may be I had to drop this into topic about telnet & OF) :). Found my ancient card, installed it in Quad :). By some unknown reason Leopard sees both ports (as I understood that picture) but uses only one. Don't know, m.b. there is some jumper or else. BTW, Void Linux got hard time booting with this card installed - there were some delays & strange messages in progress. (Sorry for large copy-paste here :D ).

I brought my NAS inside from the garage.

500mhz PowerMac G4 with a PCI SATA card running a 250GB boot drive and two 3TB secondary drives. In case anyone has forgotten what this NAS is, LOL! ;)

Next week is August weather in Phoenix (and it's not even July yet!). Take your pick of what day next week, it will either be 117º or 118º. We might also hit 119º.

It's gotta be in the house now.
