I want to see the Swipe to the Left Fully to Delete feature like in email become system wide.

VOICEMAIL

Solve the problem of voicemail getting full..

Voice mail auto delete setting -
Auto delete Voicemails from_____ within___ days.

Or delete oldest Voicemail feature (to make room for the newest one)

Save voicemails to the cloud so they don't take up space from your phone

New Feature: Visual voicemail 2.0: voicemails into text (see your voicemail transcription)

iMessage
Bold and italics
The ability to edit a photo taken while in an iMessage, before sending it. Currently if you take a photo using iMessage app, there is nothing you can do to it before sending it, it would be cool if all the editing options from the Photos app were ported over.

Email
Send more than 1 photos at once. I'm glad in iOS 8 they gave this functionality to iMessage but ignored E-mail. Currently the only way to do this is to select the pictures from within the photos app and tap 'copy'. Then you can 'paste' them all into e-mail. Why not just be able to select multiple photos from within the e-mail app?

Camera
Option in settings to auto-disable flash when app opens. I don't know about you but I always miss a good moment because the stupid flash was on, taking the time to turn it off also makes you miss the moment. I hardly ever use flash on my iPhone as its good in low light settings.

Editing the photo before you send it would be nice. Should have been introduced in ios 7 though - I don't get why it's not a feature yet.

"No new features" would be the best thing they could do. Nothing would excite the WWDC audience more than a Snow Leopard moment.

You can send multiple photos on iOS 8 via the mail app ( I think it's available since iOS 6). Just long tap to bring the copy/paste bar up, tap the right arrow and you'll see an option to insert a photo/video.

I'm pretty sure iOS 7 allowed you to select multiple photos at this point. In iOS 8 you now have to do a single shot at a time, again and again and again. Kind of a pain.

A slightly better method, OP, is to use the photos app and select the multiple photos there before sending them to mail. It's limited to 5, though. Also, you have to think of it before you start typing the e-mail.

Neither way is really perfect, but it is possible. (And despite their drawbacks, both methods are a bit better than the copy/pasting you're currently doing.)

Not sure what you mean here. I leave the flash off and it just stays off forever. That's how it's always worked on every iPhone. Is that not happening in your case?

For iOS 9, the two biggest features I'd like to see, are the features that will probably not happen for a few more releases...

1. The ability to set default apps for certain tasks - i.e. mail app, browser, maps, etc.

2. The ability to delete Apple apps (e.g. mail, safari, etc) and make those available through the app store.

I wish I could double-tap home button to bring up the task switcher instead of that useless 1 handed usability garbage.

It's the same double tap, you just push the button down and boom, you've got the switcher.

A moderate UI refresh taking design cues from Yosemite

Dark mode

Social media widget in notification center (it's in Yosemite)

Minor visual customization options

Completely redesigned stock music app

Better overall optimization for the iPad

Contacts Groups and Ringtone for that group

I think they were called ringer profiles on my old Motorola flips.

The ability to assign any contact to a user-specified group, and to assign all Contacts in that group the same Ringtone at once.

For instance, all of my Doctor office contacts have the ER Theme Song as their ringtone. If I found a new ringtone I'd rather use, I have to edit each one individually. With Group Ringtones I'd just have to do it once.

One ringtone easily changeable for my Co-Workers group, my Football Coaches group etc.

An optimized version of iOS for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. I find there is a lot of extra space on both devices. It looks like the OS has just be enlarged and hasn't added anything else.

In many apps, that is exactly what's been done.

It does. I think what OP means is to always have it reset to Off when you exit the app. That would make it on-demand, rather than last-used.

Actually, that makes a good bit of sense. The lighting situation should be assessed each time you go to use the camera, which is likely different than the last time you used it. There's no reason for it to stay set to "On" for the next time you use it days later.

Could be good to have, at least as an option. I was at a show the other night and quite a few people accidentally set off the flash quite inappropriately.

The way the task switcher is setup now you PUSH the home button 2 times to activate it.

If Apple assigned a double-tap to the task switcher there would be less home button wear and tear and you could use the task switcher all day long without worrying about wearing out a button.

All I'm really looking for in iOS 9 is a more robust email attachment solution. I think opening up iCloud Drive with a UI and the option to "attach from iCloud Drive" would work.

Other than that, my previous iOS wants have all been satisfied. Split Screen would be intriguing, though I'm not sure I'd use it.

I would like to see some additional iPad-only features (perhaps include the 6+) to differentiate the product line, though I don't know what they'd be. I'm looking to Apple to give me something I never thought I'd want/use but can't live without after I use it.

At this point, I'm extremely content with my device lineup.....I plan on keeping this iPad Air 2 for quite some time and my 6+ could be in for the long haul.

Of course, being the device junkie I am, that could all change in the blink of an eye lol.

I guess I just don't worry about wearing out the home button.

I like this...really do. Switch the two. Clicks for reachability and taps for multitask.

I'm with you there. I have used iPhones for far longer than most people user theirs (I have a "purchased day 1" iPhone 3G that has been used continuously since release - first as mine, then passed down to my kid, now back to me as my personal phone now that my work phone is an iPhone.) The Home Button is just fine. And I'm a heavy user of it (jailbroken with task switcher enabled, so I do double-tap often,) so it's not like I've been gentle on the home button. (Heck, when I get pissed off at the phone being slow, I tend to POUND the home button to bring up the task switcher.)

I think I use reachability more than multitask, so a setting to change would be nice. But now I'm conflicted cos I like the sound of double tap multitask.
Bring on the triple taps and swipes!

Quick reply to third party messaging apps! Such an oversight to not include it in this update.

Also, quick question guys, in terms of sharing links and/or images - that's not open to every app still right? Because sometimes i wanna share a link from Safari or the Tumblr app on my iPhone yet WhatsApp or Hangouts never appear! :(

Integration of iCloud drive with music, videos, and pdfs in iBooks. I dont even know if they have it, but the ability to add/edit metadata (such as faces and places) of photos within the photo app. If 'photos' is replacing iPhoto, at least give it the iPhoto features.
