What iPad did you buy thread?

I currently have an iPad Air 2, but the battery life has dropped considerably. I use it quite a bit when I travel, as I am usually in small towns for work and little or no access to tv shows or movies in small no-name hotels so I always bring 5 or 6 movies and usually end up watching at least 2 or 3 per trip. I like the iPad Air size, and 256 GB I could preload a lot movies and shows. I could also afford to put my music on the iPad with that much memory (...).

Same situation here (except for the battery)
Just ordered a replacement to my trusty iPad Air 2, 32 GB and always full to the brim. Best iPad I ever had and still going strong.
I'm getting the new Air with 256 GB which will allow me to pack more music, movies and work content, too, since I also use it for work. I also ordered a Pencil for note-taking.

I ordered the iPad Mini 5 (256GB WiFi, silver) on the Apple Store yesterday. Apple listed my delivery date to be April 11-15. I'm encouraged the delivery date might be much earlier, based on some of the comments on this thread.

Can anyone shed some light on why Apple makes wildly different delivery estimates on the same day?

They're very conservative with their estimates. Better to estimate worst case and deliver earlier than do the reverse.

I use my iPad Pro constantly and have not updated in 4 years. I will stay a good girl and keep using it till it dies and not get pulled in to get another.

Both 2018 models...mad i know but love how it works with my work and home balance. I plan to keep my 11 inch for 3-4 years though so i won’t upgrade every year for both. My 11 inch with my sim and 12.9 for just WiFi usage.
