Tech21 Impact Band. The volume buttons are a bit rigid, but otherwise a fantastic case.

SurfacePad for iPhone 5

I had the BookBook on my iPhone, tripped and the phone flew out of my hands. It flew face down, open like a book and landed that way.

There needs to be a magnet or strap of some kind. I just bought a P&D

I'm definitely pondering purchasing this case this weekend.

I absolutely love the case. I'm usually one to buy a cheap one from Amazon or something very inexpensive but this case as well worth the investment. I don't '
show' my phone off but people complement the phone when I have it out.

I've heard people say the buttons are hard to use but after a few days they loosened up and I have no complaints what so ever.

Yeah I'm going to check it out this weekend.

I owned the bookbook for the 4S and liket it, but changed afterwards. Strange to carry it around.

Was your phone badly damaged?

Yes, it smashed the entire front of the phone. I wrote Twelve South and said what happened. I didn't expect anything but I suggested they make a strap.

Later on I got what appeared to be a pre-formatted email saying explaining why there is no strap and they would consider it in the future. My thoughts, it happens a lot.

The BookBook got a little scuffed at the top right hand corner but other than that its OK. I am out $250 on a replacement phone.

Yea I ended up buying a P&Q wallet for it has a strap. I like the whole wallet concept, one less thing in my back pocket.

I am a huge fan of Portenzo cases and may end up getting one.

Caudabe Veil here. Best case because it doesn't even look like I have a case on my phone. Lasted for a month so far with no problems. Love it.

I've used the Diztronic case for my last few phones. Thin, minimalistic, matte finish, precisely cut, excellent value ($9.95):

I'm using a Wallee M. Got it with the car mount, also came with two extra discs to use around the house, haven't used either yet though. A bit bulky but I'm used to it now, magnetic grip to car mount, holds well but no problem to remove. Take it off once a month or so to clean around the edges but don't really need to as very little gets in.
I do like the feel of the phone without the case though, may go for a different car holder and look at the Best Skins Ever full body kit. Had it on my first iP5 before it was replaced (plastic strip around screen cracked and a piece broke off), only downside was after a few months it started to peel off at the corners.

I'm using a Graft Concepts Leverage i5. I bought it to use as a bumper-type case since they say you don't have to use the backplate. What no one mentioned though is that if you don't use the backplate, there's an ugly, noticeable gap b/w the bumper and the backside of the phone that the bumper's lip hovers over.

I'm since started using the backplate and have ordered the wallet backplate to use. I'm ok with the Leverage now, but am still not happy that it looks the way it does when used w/o a backplate.

Also, another reason I like the Leverage is that it completely hides the phone's metal band except for a tiny bit around the lightning port and around the speakers. This is good because my metal band is all scratched and dented.

Anyone know of any other bumpers (except for the Spigen Neo Hybrid EX) that completely covers the metal band of the iPhone 5?

Ouch, that is painful to look at. That is why I stopped using that case, doesn't feel safe using it.

Does the Surface Pad keep the iPhone in securely? Thanks!

As far as I have gone with it, no problems so far and as long as you stick the cover correctly, it stays in place.
