I purchased a iPhone 6s 16GB Silver phone about 8 months ago from Boost Mobile website. I qualify for Boost Up upgrade program now but I was thinking about the iPhone 7 Plus and upgrade to it.
I did the Boost Up program and recieved the Apple iPhone 7 Plus 32GB. 33/month for 18 months. plus data plan services which I use $35 and $50 plans.

I made it past the pre order launch day frenzy, so now I'm more resolved than ever to live up to my new standard of upgrading every 3 years.

I love my 256GB Xs Max Silver and the fact it's fully paid off.

I'm happy for all those that did upgrade but am already eager for 2020 iPhone and the return of Qualcomm.

Didn’t Apple buy intels modem business? So chances are it’s intel style from now on.

I still have my XS Max, but next month, I’ll be upgrading to the 11 Pro Max, to see if the reception is better on the device. If not, I’ll return the device and keep my XS Max until next year. I know I am one of those people that said they wouldn’t upgrade until next year, but I’m tired of the dropped calls and no service. It’s been very frustrating and I refuse to keep paying money for my service if I can’t use it the way I want because my XS Max reception sucks.

With my job, and it getting dark earlier outside, it’s important that I have a phone that works.

I did have the Xs max. Was considering keeping it for another year but decided to upgrade to the 11 pro max.

I always say I’m not upgrading and then find some feeble excuse to upgrade every year 🤣
I’m not saying your reason isn’t valid by the way.

I keep an old 64GB 5 for an emergency and backup after upgrading from an 8 Plus to 11 Pro Max. The 8 Plus went to my daughter after her 7 crapped out.

I had resolved two years in a row not to upgrade. But I could not hold myself back. Both last year and this year I bought and picked up same day (Xsmax, 11Pro max). Each year after buying it felt not much improvement. I am sure I will do the same again next year. With the 5G, next year's upgrade will be crowded. So I may not be as lucky to get same day stock for buying online to pickup same day. I also have a Pixel phone and I must say, my Pixel 3a XL is still better in night mode camera than the 11Pro max.

Still very happy with my Product Red iPhone 8 Plus. Still very responsive and does everything I need it to do flawlessly.

Holding out for one ore more of these things to happen with year's iPhone:

1. No ugly notch/mouse ears/bat ears, etc.
2. TouchID under screen.
3. Faster screen refresh rates.
4. 5G capability.

Until then, am perfectly satisfied with saving my $$ and sticking with my iPhone 8+.

I say the same thing too, and even wait a few weeks to a few months to make sure I’m positive about not upgrading. That upgrade itch always kicks in every year

I have personally owned every model year iPhone except iPhone 7 2016 model.
Actually was gonna to skip this year 2019 model.

except my wife pulled a fast one on me. And decided not to keep her iPhone 11. I had two iPhone 11 ordered. One for my son. One for my wife. And. Would sell the iPhone 8 Plus of my wife.

I had the Xs Max. But wife said iPhone 11 6.1 was too small. Since I got it for att bogo plus $400 sams club gift cards. I couldnt return it.

so I ended calling att retention and they gave me $450 off iPhone 11 pro Max. So I have pro Max 11 now for $800 256gb model

It’s a meh upgrade from the Xs Max. Not much of an upgrade besides night camera which is also in the 11. And better battery.

Face ID is the way to go. Honestly is better and more Convenient than Touch ID and way more seamless. It even works while lying down in bed.

Holding on to iPhone 6 for five years already... Not sure if I should upgrade to 11 or wait until the 5G iPhone arrives next year...

Keeping my XS Max. Nothing about the new one is worth an upgrade for me. I don’t have any issues with my battery on my XS Max and I’m not an IG model to care about the camera that much. Lol

I agree Face ID is the future, and it’s really a unique/cool piece of technology with 3-D facial mapping. But I have to disagree with you, it doesn’t make it any more ‘convenient’ over touch ID, I mean touch ID was convenient in areas where face ID isn’t,/vice versa. But, where Face ID still struggles at least for my own gathering, is when you’re laying down. I feel that I’m not the only one to make that comment, as that seems to be the biggest pitfall for Face ID.

I have an iPhone 11 and am thinking of getting a pro max as I think I made a mistake. I want the bigger oled screen and battery life

I replaced my 7 with an XS Max last month. I had that phone for almost 3 years.. it’s a pretty solid upgrade. I don’t care about 5G at all, so I will probably keep this phone until I can’t use it anymore. I’ll put a new battery in every year or so if it’s gotta be done, and pay for whatever maintenance needs to be done after AppleCare expires. I already own computers, if I can’t do it on my phone, I’ll do it on one of them.

Launch day 6S. Still does everything I need. Am interested in the upcoming 5G phones. We’ll see.
