Am I the only one who is using Backup 3 from Apple? I'm not sure if you have to have a .Mac account to get this program, but it works great. For those who have tried Backup 3 and SuperDuper... how do the two compare? I'm in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" category, but if SuperDuper has better compression than Backup 3 provides... :D.

If you're willing to pay for a professional quality back up system, it's Retrospect. It was originally Mac only but works on Windows machines as well. Client software is available so that you can back up all machines to one drive and it supports tape, as well as hard drives and DVD, etc.

Retrospect seems like its a bit limited for an enterprise environment though, BakBone is more full featured. But for a typical user its a bit pricey.

Does anyone know of a backup program that can backup to a remote server (not .mac) versus an external drive? I know I can just copy the files via ftp, but did not know if there was any software to automate the process.
