Are you using the closest server? I noticed your location is NE Ohio and you were using Cincinnati. There are servers in Radnor and Toledo Ohio that maybe closer.

Currently Clearwire, $40 month, Unlimited

AT&T DSL has a better deal of $35 month for 6mb download, unlimited. But I am stuck with Clearwire for now (long story, contract)

I'm stuck w/ this Big Pond/Telstra deal while here in Aus, not impressive and much slower than what I have back in Canada.

Here's the thing; friends who have traveled from N. America to Asia say we don't even have high speed back home compared to the speeds they have over there. Can anyone verify this? If its true, I can't see any explanation other than the collusion to hold us back and charge more. Pretty much the same deal with cel phones as there's no excuse for the excessive prices some countries (w/ little competition) face compared to other more competitive markets. Apparently the internet just rips in most big centers in Asia.

I pay 23.99 (for the first 3 months) then 53.99 after, unless I call and threaten to go to AT&T again. (this is COX high speed)

Pretty good compared to some here, but then again, pretty bad compared to some here. Live in the countryside of the UK :p We get it free with UK ISP TalkTalk, because we have our line and telephone package with them :)

Free per month (iPhone 3G via PdaNet) ridiculously long ping, but who's complaining. I usually get better upload speed using a diff server.
