Hrmm I can't see it but probably because im using the lite version for testing.. no dramas :)

Not sure if it's still this way, but the lite version of Pocket Informant is still a 1.03 or something while the full version is 1.1, which lots of enhancements and changes not yet rolled back to the lite version. Not completely different but definitely better. So if you like the lite version, the full version is even better.

P.S. - I'll throw in support for Pocket Informant. Combines Google Calendar and Toodledo (two services I already used) into one app with a far superior calendar and a nice Today screen. I wish syncing was faster/more invisible, but it was worth the $13 easily.

I still rate Remember the Milk over any of the others I've tried - Pocket Informant, Things, OmniFocus, Toodledo, Todo etc.

I've found it a lot more intuitive, and combine this with the awesome website, with seamless syncing, and it's a winner for me. I love the nearby feature, along with searching and smartlists. I've got a really good GTD tagging method working now, that is really making a difference to my productivity. And the push notifications have worked perfectly since they released that update, with notifications arriving on-time without fail.

I hope we see a new update incorporating their new "smart add" feature soon. This allows you to create a task in one line, including date, priority, tags, lists, urls etc, rather than have to click various buttons, e.g. "pick up milk tomorrow at 5pm !1 @shops #.home #Next Actions", and bam!, the task "pick up milk" gets added to my Next Actions list, with location shops, tag .home, priority 1, due date tomorrow 5pm.

And I've already won 2x 1 year's free pro subscription, by posting a couple of useful tips on the RTM forums, taking my subscription up to Jan 2012. Happy days :)

I use VoCal (Voice Reminder) New way of remembering without typing

I use VoCal (Voice Reminder) for all my todo's. Its more like a calendar without the fuss of typing. Very fast and simple to use. It works best with Push notifications though so you better upgrade to an iPhone soon :)

I am being a little biased as i created it to suit my needs and put a free version up a few weeks ago, saying that, VoCal have just been picked up by mobclix and we are hoping for this new concept of Voice Reminders to take off!

Just came across this new todo app: 2do. Wow. As much as I like RTM, this looks awesome. A fantastic UI, and great features including iCal syncing. I've only had a brief play with it so can't comment on syncing reliability yet, but it looks v impressive.

+1 for Remember The Milk. The iphone app is free but you need a pro account from the web service to use it and that is $25 a year.

2do looks pretty nice. Do you know if it synchs with ToodleDo? I'm not sure that - if it syncs with iCal via wifi - it's necessary, but I have two macs to keep synced which I do via ToodleDo feeds.

Things and OmniFocus.

Things is pretty.

OmniFocus is more powerful allowing location-based tasks, alarms integrated into iCal and tasks are better managed by GTD principles.

Can anyone explain why in 2do I have to have Push notifications turned on in order for the alerts to work?

I am not syncing my todos to anywhere so it's a mystery to me why it needs an over-the-air system such as Push to be able to read the alarm events from the todos...

I use 2Do, which works very well and is extremely well designed. I love Awesome Note, but the lack of push notifications kills it as a real to-do app. If they ever integrate push, I'll go back to that app. It's one of the most gorgeous apps out there.

ToDo

I like Awesome Note - slick interface and intuitive.
I'm also going to check out Pocket Informant after reading some of the reviews here.
Thanks!
