AirDrop for photo sharing. When out with friends, we all take pics using whoever has the best camera and then airdrop it to everyone in the group.

Auto fill of OTP codes sent to phone which I can click and fill in on the Mac without batting an eyelid; instead of having to unlock the phone, read the number and type it in like my Android/Windows acquaintances do.

Yes, I call the green people acquaintances; and blue people friends!

I never even noticed that!
This has been a feature ever since iPhone X, and works in conjunction with Face ID (consequently it doesn’t work on iPhones without Face ID). Observe it the next time. I use an android phone as well (Z flip 4) as a second phone, and I throughly miss it every time I get a phone call on that phone.

love the zoomed view.
this is the first setting i change when i get any new phone o

The iPhone has no underrated features. Only some overrated, like privacy.

I noticed it yesterday! Was amazing. I mostly have mine in silent mode. Never rings. Noticed it on Dad's phone when I called him from 5 feet away.

Scanning documents into a PDF with Notes. So useful.

Not sure why so few seem to know about this, most people just take photos of documents and receipts instead.

Apple really needs to integrate this into the Camera app, though — just like it’s got “Portrait” and “Panorama,” you should be able to swipe to “Scan,” which uses the same scanning interface from Notes and auto-saves the PDF to a “Scanned Documents” folder in your top-level iCloud Files directory.

I don’t remember the last time I used anything other than Notes to scan a document, but man is it annoying when the point is just to scan something to send to somebody else.

Force/3D Touch > "long touch" nonsense
Yes! It really was underrated and unappreciated and unfortunately many casual users in my personal life never knew about it and never used it!!!! I asked my friends and family about it and they’re like, “huh” what”? Which is the main problem, Apple didn’t do a good job of educating the public on 3D Touch.

Apple sneaks many useful functions into every release of IOS. I was surprised how easy it is to change the "Displayed" live photo. Editing the live photo allows me to select a better 'key photo' than Apple may have chosen.

Reduce White Point. I have mine set to automatically do this after 10:30. Even on the lowest setting the phone is still way to bright at night. You can set it to come up with a tripple power button tap with any other accessibility features. Also, loving the new audio control on iOS 16. Oh and find my phone from the Watch is the best.
