Can any one tell me why is every one so happy with the iPad's price?

i went over to dell.com, and checked what is under $500, and I get a lap that has:

DVD-drive/burner
Dual Core 2.2 Ghz
2 GB of RAM
160 GB hard drive
Wifi
14" display
it WILL run flash

1) OK, but then again a Macbook is 2X that Dell laptop price too. I suppose you think MBs are overpriced.

2) That Dell Inspiron weighs nearly 6lbs to the iPads 1.5lb; has 3hr battery life to the iPad's 10; Can't be used easily holding it with one hand, and navigating with the other. How are they similar products?

3) Radio? Seriously? It's 2010. I can't think too many people care it has a radio since A) many terrestrial radio stations are on-line, B) there are plenty on on-line sites like Pandora one can go for music, and C) people have their iTunes library.

4) Buy your own logic the iPad is a bargain when you consider the Kindle DX is the exact same price as the iPad, but comes with an embarrassingly low amount of RAM and a black & white screen. Or compare to a $800 Pronto 9600 remote. Your choice.

Of course this leads me to

You are comparing a multitouch device with a software package that is in a completely different league than anything else out there.
