Favourite lens so far would have to be theeee

Canon 50mm f1.8 for indoor shooting

Sigma 70mm Macro was very fun for pretty much everything

And as sad as it is, the only zoom lens I've been able to get my hands on is

Canon 18-135mm f5.6 is was ok.. but I my aim is to pick up a new camera with the 24-105mm L lens in kit, the 6D or 5D Mark iii. Student budgets are tight XP

On my Fuji X100 it would have to be my 23mm F2 ;)

Taken with the X100

On my Fuji XE2 it's my Minokta Rokkor 50mm 1.4

To be fair though I only have two lenses for my XE2 and the other one needs stripping and cleaning because it has a very stiff focussing ring.

Do you strip them and clean them yourself?

Oh god no! I'll happily tinker with my motorbike but I imagine if I did anything with a lens I'd end up buggering it up and never being able to take photos with it again. Not that are in focus anyway.

My favorite body: Canon EOS 5D Mk3 (my 1DC is too cumbersome and is only used for shooting 4K video)

Favorite lens: 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro (I primarily shoot macro, you can see my work at flickr.com/chua_photography)

I've had a Tamron 18-270 for my EOS 60D, and can't say I'm pleased with it (barrel distortion, CA, etc.), but then, it's a super zoom and super zooms inherently have these issues.

Cheeky bastard :D:D;) haha. Is the 1D C the same as the 1D X on the still photo side? I read up on the video differences obviously but I presume it would run like a boss for sports? Not that a 5D Mk.III is a slacker with that!

Didn't expect this thread to last when I first noticed it ;)

The lens I use most currently is my Leica 35mm f/1.4. Noticed that I end up cropping most things I take with it, so recently bought a Leica 50mm f/1.4. Currently with Leica being paired to my M body as the focus was slightly off out of the box.

Can't wait to get them both back!

Have been using my Nikon in the interim with a 24-70 and adjusting back to a bulky camera/lens but having zoom and autofocus. Such a different shooting experience. Still prefer the rangefinder for most things, but a good reminder of how the tools at your disposal shape how you see the world around you. If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail....

I love sticking to one focal length, my 35mm ƒ/2 is practically glued to my DSLR and my 55mm ƒ/1.6 is almost always on my 35mm SLR. My feet can do the zooming :D :D But it is nice to ride a zoom after you haven't used it for a while. I mainly use my my normal lenses and occasionally an 85 or 135mm lens but a few weeks ago I was using the EF 70-200 ƒ/4L IS and it was so nice to just sit back (literally!) and zoom as needed with autofocus!

The new nikkor 50mm 1.8 and the rokinon 85mm 1.4 on my new d610.

The 50mm is just a great all around lens.
The rokinon is very entertaining because of the manual focus. :)

I shoot with a crop sensor body so, for me, the one lens I use the most (and, by default, my 'favorite') would be the Tokina 11-16mm because of how wide it is and its quality and build. When I make the jump to a full frame Nikon, the one lens I will immediately get is the Nikon 14-24mm. I've shot with it on several occasions and that lens is definitely worth all of the praise it often gets.

This was shot with my Tokina 11-16mm:

Thats a stunning photo:). I love photos like these, but I'm always interested in how much editing/processing goes into these shots, surely they can't be straight from the camera, can they?

So far, my Canon 300 f/2.8 IS II. Going to sell it soon, though. I love it, but I really need 400mm for sports. The 300mm is amazing for some portraiture, so I'm hoping I can still pull off that sort of stuff with the 400mm. :D

Not the best lens compared to others, but Canon 50mm f1.4 is the one I keep on my full frame 5D most of the time.

This focal lenght is just right.......

My second great lens is Canon 135L f2 - incredible, magic bokeh....

Canon 22mm F/2 on EOS M.

Best 35mm lens on the market sold as a kit lens and even at it's retail price. It's as sharp at my Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART lens. It's super small and light and excellent build quality. (Manual Focus is only ok, but I never use it) Excellent Color and IQ.

Different lenses on different cameras! On my Canon EOS 7D the EF 35mm f/1.4 L is fantastic. But I do love my Leica 50mm Sumicron with Near-Focusing Range on my M3.

Thanks! You're absolutely right. Photos (unfortunately) don't quite come out of the camera looking like that. I spent almost about a total of 30 minutes editing the photo. This was a five-bracket shot that I combined in Photomatix and then edited the HDR image in Adobe Lightroom.
