You are correct and I think you are missing my point that I offered my personal opinion. I'm not proclaiming that 4k is a waste in a 15" laptop for everyone but for myself. In using a 4k laptop, I'm seeing that its really overkill in such a small form factor. You are free to agree or disagree

A P74 with 4K touch screen at 2-2.5kg (current P73 is 3.4kg) and 8 hours of battery life. No backlight bleed nor other QC issue please.

Lenovo would probably cripple it as usual to accomplish that.

3kg would be good enough and likely doable without major compromises.

Yes 3KG with 4K touch screen should be doable. This year they stupidly scre*ed up the integration of the touch panel on OLED. Should have made a UHD touch configuration.

Good if they could keep the silentness with i9 and the next version of RTX5K
