I thought it'd be interesting to find out what desktops all of you have owned. Here are mine

PowerMac G3 1,1 400mhz

PowerMac G4 3,5 (Quicksilver DP) 800mhz upgraded to Newertech 1.8 GHz dual 7447A snd newer graphics but I've slept since then. Weren't those AGP?

PowerMac G5 7,3 2.0ghz DP upgraded ram but forgot how much. (Super solid machine that is still running today! How is that possible?)

iMac "Core 2 Duo" 2.33 20-Inch (late 2006) upgrade ram and SSD (Still operational as a print server.)

iMac "Core 2 Duo" 3.06 27-Inch (late 2009) upgraded to 24gb of ram and dual SSD(Also still running but as an internet machine and print server. Guess that's to be expected.)

Mac Pro 4,1 2.66ghz dp upraded to dual X5690, NVMe, 12tb of hdd, 36gb of ram and an RX480.

My 4,1 got more upgrades than any other Mac and has lasted, on a professional level, for what seems like forever. It was the most costly at first but damn this thing has lasted a long, long time as a work machine.
[doublepost=1537650528][/doublepost]My first Mac was a Centris 650 purchased in 1993 for $3700. It had 8 MB of RAM and a 230 MB hard drive.

Lets see in no particular order (tho ill try and arrange em from first to last IIRC)

iMac4,1 Early 2006 (got iMac5,1 flashed and T7200 fitted, no longer have this one sadly but I still have some parts from it including the Core 2 Duo I put in it and the Core Duo I pulled from it :) )

PowerMac3,1 PowerMac G4 AGP Graphics Sawtooth, (this one is my Uninorth test machine currently has a 450Mhz 7400 G4, current GPU is a Radeon 9000 Pro from an MDD)

PowerMac3,6 PowerMac G4 MDD FW800 (wind tunnel) Daul 1.42Ghz 2x (and a half) I have 2 fully functional ones and a parts machine (the 2 working ones are my MPC7455, U2 test beds)

AAPL,Gossamer PowerMac G3 Beige Desktop Rev B (after the PSU blew up its become a parts machine)

PowerMac7,3 PowerMac G5 June 2004 Dual 2Ghz G5 (this is my PowerPC 970 testing machine no GPU currently)

PowerMac7,3 PowerMac G5 Early 2005 Dual 2.7Ghz G5 (this is my PowerPC 970FX and U3 heavy testing machine, current GPU is an ATI Radeon X850 XT Apple BTO)

Mac Pro 1,1 this was my first Mac Pro, and was my daily before my current daily, I have Firmware and SMC flashed it to MacPro2,1 spec and fitted 2 X5355 B3 stepping CPUs currently has an ATI Radeon 5770 GPU from a 2012 Mac Pro, its now one of my EFI32 5000X LGA 771 test beds.

PowerMac1,1 PowerMac G3 BW Rev A (my New world ROM MPC106 Grackle/Gossamer test machine currently I have about 3 of these 1 nice one and 2 parts machines, its CPU changes frequently depending on what im testing, currently has a G4 MPC7400 ZIF CPU from a Yikes!)

AAPL,e826 PowerMac 4400/160 (Oh what a buggy POS you are LOL, currently awaiting a new CPU/repair, it was my PSX/Ohare test machine)

Mac Pro 1,1 this was found by a trash can, so I took it under my wing, it was/is fully functional... (bar missing GPU and RAM its stock with Dual 5160 3Ghz CPUs) it also serves as one of my EFI32 5000X LGA 771 test beds.

PowerMac10,1 Mac Mini G4 1.42Ghz G4 overclocked to 1.67Ghz (this is one of my 7447B, U2-intrepid test bed machines)

PowerMac2,2 iMac G3 FlowerPower 500Mhz (I upgraded it to a G4 MPC7410 CPU but left the Clock speed stock for thermal reasons, currently non functional after dying on on me and not turning back on suspected analog board failure)

AAPL,Gossamer PowerMac G3 Beige Mini Tower Rev B (this is my Old world ROM MPC106 Grackle/Gossamer test machine, I upgraded the North bridge on it, and and like the G3 BW its CPU changes frequently, currently has a MPC7410 500Mhz G4 Sonnet Encore ZIF CPU)

MacPro4,1 Mac Pro (Early 2009) this is my main machine/daily and I have upgraded as per my sig :) (plus an FL1100 based USB 3.0 card) being its my daily I sadly cant use it for many experiments as I cant risk taking it down for any long length of time

PowerMac11,2 PowerMac G5 Quad Late 2005 (this is my PCIe U4 CPC945 PowerPC 970MP based test bed machine)

Gestalt 5 Macintosh SE (everyones gotta own some sort of Compact Macintosh :) 68000 CPU with 2.5MB of RAM and a whopping 40MB SCSI HDD)

PowerMac4,2 iMac G4 first gen, 2x (however the second one needs a new CPU fitted after the last owner opened it up without re-pasting the heat pipe to main dome contact point, and fried the CPU the working one is my MPC7451, Pangea test bed)

iMac,1 iMac G3 Bondi Blue Rev B (tis my most recent addition, £12 buy it now find on ebay, dont mind if i do :) plan for it is to get the ODD working and fit a G4 CPU, currently has its stock specs, 233Mhz G3 750 CPU however I maxed the RAM at 512MB )

I think thats all of my AIO/Desktop/Tower Macintosh computers listed :) , if I have missed anything ill make sure to edit it in. (I also have a small gaggle of Apple laptops of varying spec)

Mac IIfx

Not personally owned, but assigned as a company system for a special project.

I've since learned that was quite a pricey system - around $10K in 1991, or about $19K adjusted for inflation.

In addition to the Macs listed in my signature, my first desktop Mac was a PowerMac 9600 MP and first laptops were a 2004 iBook 12” and a 2009 MacBook Pro 15”.

Gotta say I was not expecting as many people to have had so many old-school Macs. I know I was late to the game for my age but really expected more people to be like me and have adopted Macs in the late 90's to early 2000's. This thread turned out to be a lot more interesting than I thought when I started it. BTW, I always wanted one as a kid but my parents saw no need to have an Atari ST, an Amiga and a Mac. Poor me..... I know. I do miss that Amiga.

There a couple of old school Macs, the Mac Plus and Mac IIci, on my list I did not purchase them at the time they were current models. In fact the IIci I just picked up in February of this year. The earliest Mac I purchased when it was current was the LC II. Prior to that it was all PC equipment.

PowerMac G5
iMac G5
MacPro 3.1
MacPro 5.1

And a number of MacBooks, Pro, Air, etc., starting with a Ti-Book .

1. Macintosh 1984 (bought used seven years after it came out as a $200 toy)
2. MacClassic 1990
3. IMac G3 (Bondi Blue) 1998
4. PowerMac G4 Cube 2000 (loved the idea of it, but not as expandable as a tower)
5. MacPro "Cheese grater" Tower 2006 (favorite one I've ever owned)
6. MacPro Tower 2008 (second favorite one I've ever owned--much upgrated)

Mostly it's been laptops, though.
