Still use my iMac for Warcraft....

... trying out apps ...
I do that too. Even if it's an app for my iPhone I'll usually download it to my iPad first because that's the device I'll have in my hand at home. If it looks good then I'll buy it there and then on the iPad and go to my iPhone and do a second download onto the device.

For other stuff, I don't take my iPad out of my house, in fact it mostly lives on the arm of my sofa in the main living room. I use it mostly in the evenings for:

Web surfing (iCab Mobile)
Looking stuff up in Wikipedia (Articles)
Reeding RSS feeds (Reeder)
Reading books (iBooks)
Controlling my HiFi (iPeng iPhone app in 2x mode)
Various games
Occassional read-only Facebook access (Facebook iPhone app in 2x mode)
Checking weather (Accuweather)

I'm also trying to use Evernote to access my general notes database but I'm having some issues with it because I find the useability to be seriously flawed when moving between the PC and iPad version.

For mobile (out of the house) stuff use I always use my iPhone since that is totally portable and always with me.

Not one person admits to using it for Porn.......

Wow us iPad users are a really well adjusted bunch :)

Email and Internet mostly. Used it last night to show photos to some friends. Worked much better than my buddy's iPhone.

It was collecting dust until I bought a Luxa2 stand. Now I use it too much.

I prop it on the stand to watch movies or play games like the addictive Steam Balls. I need rehab.

Watch tutorials while learning new software, which leaves my monitors free for workspace.

At a job interview, I showed my work so that the hiring manager wouldn't have to pull it up on a website.

I wrote the story of my life for 6 hours straight on it. I think I was temporarily possessed.

I read the newspaper, which I never did before.

I read a book, which I haven't done outside of college.

I hold it to the sky and pray for Mad Magazine to appear on it. And I use it to take church notes :D

I can see the iPad really exploding when custom apps for medical, sales, and other apps are ready. Can you say 'TurboTax'?

I can see every doctor / administrator / assistant carrying one instead of dealing with the desktop / laptop combination that they have now.

Yes, it lacks apps. When those increase *Squidbillies voice* woo-doggy!

I used to use my iPhone for much of the above. I have replaced it with the iPad wifi & 3G. I use my iPhone a lot less now. The larger screen and keyboard are brilliant. I have a wireless keyboard for larger documents, which is great as it makes for a bigger screen (keyboard on screen hides itself).

I actually used my iPhone more than my PC laptop, Powerbook, net books, PC's and Mac Mini. I now use my iPad instead of the IPhone for the above. My eyes don't hurt so much now either.

I have traveled 3-4 days a week with a laptop for 11 years. The iPad has replaced the laptop for 2 months now for my uses.

1. Web browsing. Really enjoyable, almost nicer than using my 27 inch iMac at home when you factor in the "web in the form of a book" experience you get.

2. Email. I can do this on my iPhone of course, but the experience is much better on the iPad.

3. Books. I have now read several books on both iBooks and Kindle and both are excellent.

4. Streaming movies. Netflix is my friend and plays very nicely with my iPad. I also watch some ABC programming and am a bit disappointed the new Hulu will be a paid service, I wish they kept the PC/Mac option of watching just the last 1 or 2 episodes of shows (with commercials) for free.

5. Games. Not a hardcore gamer by any stretch by stuff like Words with Friends, Scrabble, Angry Birds etc. are great on the bigger screen.

6. Misc. apps that just are nicer on the iPad than on the iPhone. FlightTrack Pro, Weather apps, Twitelator etc.

I use it for:

twitter
facebook
windows live messenger
playing games
check my bank balance
browse the net
listen to music
watch videos on youtube
watch films (sometimes)
read news on the net
look at photos
email
