iPhone What makes it worth it to you?

I simply see no reason to jailbreak my phone. I used to love it around < iOS 5 days, but I don't see a compelling reason to jailbreak currently.

Please show me tweaks that will convince me it's worth it.

Agreed. Jailbreaking comes with its own set of hassles that are definitely not worth it if you don't have some tweaks you want to install. For me, having extra toggles in control center, a quick reply tweak (Auki), and the ability to get rid of Newsstand and those hideous default icons make the jailbreak more than worthwhile.

Hmmm, well. I installed Tor and ShadowSocks yesterday. Kind of nice having all my WiFi and cellular connections encrypted through the Tor network.

Can't do that stock.

But to other matters - flux, Forecast, Callbar, biteSMS, Winterboard (for themes), Activator. Yeah, just a few. I could go on as I have lot of tweaks for lots of different things.

But hey, if there's not something that motivates you then that's that!

many reasons! but for starters the ability to download 1080p Movies/TV Shows from Netflix! obviously i dont distribute them, but i do keep them for my digital collection. its pretty awesome

Yes as each iOS releases I fine less reasons to jailbreak, however...

I will continue to jailbreak for:

Xbmc
Protube extension
Auto scroller
Displayout
Icleaner
Applocker
Ifile

I understand a few of those tweaks will never make it onto stock iOS like xbmc but hey...

i guess a factor is convenience? (easily install it from cydia as opposed to using ifile, i can see this happening for many who waited for tweaks to be updated before updating to 7.1.2 JB)

I updated as well. Mainly because the same dev who updated WebScrollian for iOS 7.x released Fascy. What's good is that I can be aware if any updates by using cydia plus in the future on a new jailbreak I can toggle the "Show All Changes" option for the package and will be notified once it gets updated to support the new firmware.

But functionality wise, they're the exact same.

Its def getting to the point that jail braking is not as needed as once was, but Apple still has work to do IMO.



This is one of the reasons I JB. Its not a big deal but to me its how I want my phone. A few other basic tweaks like 5 icon dock and f.lux keep me coming back.
