What do you like about Apex? What makes it a must have?

It makes a better folder IMO. This is how I use it:

I'm going to go with a bit of a different tack here...for me, what makes it most worth it is control over my device, and quite frankly, a bit of "sticking it to the Man"...I never even considered jailbreaking until I was forced to upgrade to iOS7...I was perfectly happy with 6, and did not like 7 whatsoever, and was willing to stay where I was, even when Apple so helpfully pushed the installer to my device without my consent, using 3 gigs of my storage that I could not get back...unfortunately, I was forced to restore my Ipad, and had to upgrade to 7...so in response, I took the jailbreak plunge...even if Apple includes all my fave tweaks into stock iOS, I will still jailbreak, if for no other reason than it gives me the control they don't want me to have

I'd jailbreak just to have notifications stay on the lockscreen until I act on them.

Checking all your homescreens for notification badges seems like an act of lunacy. Devices are supposed to work for us, not the other way around.

I don't think I'll stop jailbreaking any time soon...

AppSync and iFile are all the reasons I need to get my phone jailbroken.

AppSync allows access to 3rd party program assisted .ipa backup/install, and iFile allows reliable access to the phone's file system to backup/modify/delete unwanted programs and specific files.

I jailbroke my iPhone once (back in the iOS 6 days).

The only reason I jailbroke it was for the useful little widget that you could install that allowed you to swipe up or down to give you quick access to switching on wifi, bluetooth etc. But now that we have Control Centre, for me I don't see any need to jailbreak.

I know when I was looking around at the various things you could add/install through jailbreaking. I can remember a few interfered with the swipe down feature, so in the end I removed these particular things to give me the swipe down feature back. I can also remember other weird things that it affected too.

Everyones different, but jailbreaking for me now, I have no interest in doing it.

I also gave up on jailbreaking prior to ios 5. I think what happened was that ios started to be complete enough on its own not to require the tweaks. Also the jailbreaks started to lag behind so that you couldn't update to the latest OS as soon as it was released without losing your jailbreak and having to wait an unspecified time for one to come out. The tweaks and Cydia apps I installed, not the jailbreaking itself also tended to affect the performance of my phone negatively. So at this point I would need a really compelling reason to attempt it again. So far I have seen nothing compelling that would lead me that way.

This op is gettihg really annoying. Make a descision. Jailbreak or dont jailbreak. Its not that hard. Making 4 threds on basically the same thing is getting old...

What makes it worth it to you?

I had my iPhone 5S jail broken for a bit and honestly I don't see a point anymore. Other than the few needed applications like ad blocker and camera2. Speaking of. That is the only tweak I like. 60 FPS Video recoding all the time is worth it.

Hehehehe, mine's a little different. Still Forecast, but for iOS 6 and with a widget I modified and put on my lock screen using LockHTML.

Also got Livepapers running there too…

That's a creepy wallpaper lol
