I have two Samsung SyncMaster 173T monitors which are connected via DVI. Samsung are some of the best LCD monitors available in my opinion. I use them on my PCs also. They exhibit very good color accuracy once calibrated and have high contrast and brightness.

I'm using a Dell 20" (2007fpw) at work with a Mac Pro.

If and when I buy a Mac Pro for home, I'll likely either get the Dell 2407 24" monitor, or a Samsung 244t.

I'd stay away from that Samsung for sure. It's a SPVA monitor. Those are known for horrid input lag (60+ ms because of overdrive) and terrible viewing angles. I had a 24'' PVA from Dell (2405FPW) that I returned because it was pretty awful. Apple's monitors are all SIPS (as is Dell's 3007WFP) which don't suffer from lag or bad viewing angles and the colours are much better.

add one more to the Dell 2407WFP list.

I LOVE my Dell LCD. 5 Inputs, 4 USB ports, card reader, and excellent color.
The 5 year warranty is a great bonus.

I have the viewsonic VX2025WM really nice display especially for the price. Some say its one of the best 20" LCDs out there. I don't know about that but its really nice. You could even get two of them.

According to my CDW rep, Acer was doing a promo with them and indicated they would be offering large format screens in 2007. Acer builds Dell's screens, but has some arrangement about not competing in the large format offerings. That agreement ends next year and they will be adding their own 24 & 30 inch models, at a cheaper price.
