My first bike that my Dad gave me, I only had it about 6 hrs (he made me get it back after he found out who had stolen it) the most notable theft

Many numerous insignificant items at school and the most recent thefts are all to do with cars ( from what I can remember) audio tapes, tools, car stereos, wheels, wheel arches, car batteries, seats, tax discs, cd's and the cars themselves (not all on the same day :) )

Apart from losing the bike I think nothing is worse than coming out of home/work/shopping and wondering where you parked your car and eventually realising it's been stolen :(, the most embarrassing thing is knowing that people know that you're looking for something as you aimlessly walk up and down and around and around.

My car was robbed twice, and my old apt. was robbed once.
From my car:
-Pioneer Head Unit
-Sony Xplod Amp
-Sony Xplod Subs x2
From my Apt.:
-Pioneer Receiver
-Fisher Speakers x2

My brand new Schwin Impact moutain bike was stolen when I was in college. There were quite a few bikes ripped off in the same way. Someone was using freon to crack the U locks. I was late to class because of that one...
Oh man ... having a bike stolen is the worst. I had to walk home for an hour from campus when someone took my bike. But then I learned about taking the bus for free with my student ID.

Other things I've had stolen ... calculators (scientific and graphing), my backpack, a bunch of CDs (music, backed-up work), my PE clothes back in high school, my binder of Magic: The Gathering cards ....

Damn, my faith in humanity has just been stolen from me. :(

A PC Laptop

(i was mad 'cause it was brand new and only used for about 1 month:(

My car (old Honda CRX back then) got stolen in downtown Seattle a couple years ago...I went there for a job interview, great timing.

Anyway, the Police told me they recover most cars...'people' just steal cars for joyrides and abandon them when they run out of gas. Sure enough, they found it two weeks later...stripped, of course, but running fine.

My innocence. Faith in most people especially men.
Ditto. Except "women".

Then I regained a lot of it after realizing that either sex has its share of losers, but that most people are generally basically good.

I'v had my wallet stolen, money from my room, money from hotel rooms, money from other places.

To the guy who had half an oz. stolen, my heart goes out to you.

Nothing of mine, per se, but, almost two years ago, my daughter left a DVD case containing about $400 of DVDs (her complete collection), many Disney ones no longer available, in her seat as we left a flight (we were on an extended vacation with family). Went back immediately, and it was gone.

As it was open in the seat, it was clearly filled with children's DVDs, which made me especially mad. Now, of course, I'm a big fan of MacTheRipper.

For a second I thought the thread was what non-Apple stuff that I stole  and I was going to put down those chocolate eggs.

Anyway, in Middle School I had some money stolen (lunch money and other snack) when I was in gym class. I am pretty sure I knew who did it but I just changed my entire routine and it never happened again. A textbook from my Middle School locker. My parents 1990 Camry (then became mine) was stolen after a Pear Jam concert in Seattle. Finally recovered after a few days. Some kids took it for a joyride. There's probably some more but they are peanuts in comparison to other things

Thumb drive. Fell out of my pocket, and someone picked it up right away. And where never honest enough to give it back. I was sitting down in class, yeah long story.

Some b*****d broke into my student flat back in 2004 and stole my Xbox, games, cd's - but left the unopened Simpsons box set which was in the same room..

I got a recall notice a few months later though about the faulty power units in the early Xbox's...so fingers crossed whoever stole it burned horribly thanks to Microsoft..and the disc drive kept on giving me errors..come to think of it maybe it was for the best as I got a new one from the insurance.

Thank god they didn't go into my bedroom as thats where all my other possessions were.

Some punk stole my micro machines cars from my locker at school as well...!

Along the same lines, i hope whoever stole my iPod was listening to it while walking across the street and got hit by a car.

Some may ask do i really mean that, hell yes, from the bottom of my unforgiving heart i hope that got hit sent airborne and hit again.

My last roommate, upon moving out without telling me, stole:

1) my half of the rent money I had left (I had gone off on holiday)
2) an entire houseful of groceries
3) my two cats

I'm just glad my landlord is a very understanding and amicable person, as he worked with me to rectify the situation given that I came home to find an eviction notice on the door two days from being executed.

Just a TI-83+. I'm generally pretty good at keeping what valuable things I have concealed. I don't use my iPod earbuds (but I'm surprised no one has though to go after people with iPod remotes, mine is usually visible in the winter.), and when my iPod stays in the car, it's in the center armrest, with the power adapter taken out of the socket, so the light isn't on. Of course, I pity whoever manages to steal my debit card, I owe the bank some money

i might think of a career change from whatever you are currently doing to become a full-time assassin.
Money eh it has happened before, groceries-i'm sure you had some Captain Crunch or Doritos that really ticked you off, but muffin and snuggles.....aw man i would kill the man.

2 bikes,
1 back-pack
countless beer/drinks

Add a bike to my list too. I was devastated. I was about 9 years old and it was my new shiny bike that I had just gotten for my birthday. So sad.

My car has been opened twice. Among the stolen things are:
  • A car stereo
  • A 10-CD Changer w/10 of my favorite CDs
  • Ray-ban Sunglasses
  • Car tools and a spare tire

Actually that was the first time I had money stolen from me. It really stunk that we were roommates for nearly five years with none of the usual roommate problems, and I go away for a week and come home to that...who steals groceries anyway?

But yes, I do miss poor Gwen. She was a somewhat rare breed, a Nebelung.

- toys when I was a kid by kleptomanic fellow kids
- my mountain bike (while student, so it was my only means of transportation I could afford)
- money in 2 occasion; one of those was beaten unconscious and woke up 6 hours later without money or papers in a Paris hospital
- some word fridge magnets (the only few words that i do care about)

  • bike and chain (but they kindly left the lock behind, undamaged).
  • miniature dictionary
  • pickup truck's rear window gasket (never understood that one, they didn't even get the whole gasket).
  • bag of garbage (hey, thanks!)
  • box of cassettes

The only thing of value I have had stolen was a nice goose downed winter jacket. It was about 20years ago. It was stolen of the coat rack in Mr. Steak's while we were eating dinner for my birthday. To this day I never hang up my coat at a restaurant.

I lost a library book on a plane once, and never found it. Not really stolen, at least that I can prove.

Someone did steal a textbook from our open cube book storage units in the classroom in 8th grade once... actually I think they stole two. It was for an easy health class, so they probably just went back there and picked up any book, since these cubbies were nonlocking and not really labeled. I later found it by going through each and every cubbie. I questioned the kid whose cubbie it was in and got the usual 'Oh I don't know how it got in there' ******** ....

My Mom had a leather coat stolen when she left it in a coat room at a conference.
