I tried setting it up the mini with the OWC 16 gb ram last night and ran rember twice. The test threw this error:

What does this "block sequential" failure mean? I am going to look at potentially running some more tests before passing judgement.. but its not looking good. The test failed in the same place twice.

it means the ram is bad return it.

I would. I like OWC, but prefer Crucial RAM over just about any other brand. The fact that its cheaper only sweetens the deal.

Glad the Corsair Vengeance is working for you. There is no reason the G.SKILL RAM shouldn't have worked for you, besides a bad chip. I'm actually running the faster CL10 version of that RAM that I picked up for $59 before the price jump. Works flawlessly.

Can you post a link to the ram your talking about?

I am planning to buy 16gb for a 2012 Mac Mini with a 2.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Processor. What type of RAM would you recommend?

Yesterday Micron charged me $85.49 + $5.13 tax and upgraded me twice to free 2 day shipping when I bought 16gb Crucial RAM for a Mac Mini with a 2.6GHz i7 processor. I tried to order the RAM on their website but my credit card was blocked until I confirmed my identity to the bank. So when I called Micron to use a different charge account, they were apologetic and accepted my savings.com coupon for web orders only - 5% off memory and free 5 to 8 day shipping.

I went with the corsair pictured above as well. Just put it in on tuesday and has been working great. I bought from amazon. Was the easiest RAM install I have ever done.

Not 10 minutes ago I installed 16GB of RAM in my mid -2011 Mini. 85 bucks from Crucial. Like all other Crucial RAM I've installed over the years (at least six Macs) it worked on the initial boot. Good, reliable hardware. Memory can be fast a lightning, have the best specs ever, but if you have to send it back . . .
