Not really IMHO, all Mac's come with decent CPUs, it will have some effect but the gfx is a much bigger factor in the overall performance.

Not really IMHO, all Mac's come with decent CPUs, it will have some effect but the gfx is a much bigger factor in the overall performance.
The intent of my comparison was a new Mac versus a 5 year old Mac.
Even for older Mac's the graphics card is still more important. Having an under powered graphics card will stop you from gaming long before the CPU will.*
