All I get to bring is my phone, and my watch.
If I had a laptop I would definetly bring it, my mom can't make me leave it at home!

We are actually going on a trip today! funny...
The only tech things I can think of that we are bringing is our cell phones and a little portable DVD player for the car. Also, we might be bringing a GPS. We are going to some places where you can ride your ATVs and it is 30,000 acres. Its actually required.

MacBook Air, iPhone, Nikon D50. I enjoy doing pictures and the internet, it's what I do when I relax. I like to keep in touch with family and they enjoy seeing pics almost in real time if they can't come. Plus I video conference with my father who lives far away and he gets to talk to his granddaughter and see her at the same time she gets to see him and interact. When she does get to see him in person rarely, he doesn't seem as much of a stranger. I wish I had these opportunities as a child. I feel Family is very very important, and it sucks that sometimes families have to be spread out these days.

You guys are crazy lol! I cant imagine lugging around a computer, plus having to worry about it getting dinged up, stolen, etc. My iphone does the internet quite well in a pinch (such as looking up directions, restaurants, etc).

I try to bring the absolute minimum... just enough clothes (most people pack stuff they know they wont wear), travel size of all of my tolietries, plus my iphone, point and shoot, and I guess now the DSLR. Wallet, chargers, and perhaps sunglasses and I am all set.

I gotta ask the people who bring ipods and iphones... why? Battery life? Isnt it easier to just have a charger? When using the ipod on the iphone in airplane mod, it lasts a long time. And if your in the car (not in airplane mode) how about a car charger? Even the laptop people - unless we are talking work travel (in which case I have to bring my work dell haha) - why? I prob spend way to much time on the computer, vacation I need to get away from it. Cant your iphone do most of what you want a laptop to do on vacation?

Some people dont mind bringing it all, so no offense. Just sorta asking.. its just such a pain going through airports these days, and people are always looking to steal stuff... its just too much hassle to me.

I have gotten the fiance to agree to one giant suitcase for the both of us on the honeymoon (a 30 incher) of which she can (and will) have most of. We will check that, plus take all our carry on items in one shared crumpler backpack. I normally hate checking bags but we were going to anyway. Plan to put a couple swimsuits in the carry on in case the worst happens and the suitcase is lost. What else do you need on the beach besides a swimming suit, a drink in your hand, a pretty girl, and the occasional peak at macrumors from your iPhone? ;)
