Stickley Table

That is a very nice looking desk; is it solid wood, and if so, what type? - The link you included only offers a picture of the desk, without adding any further details, such as size, type of wood used, and - most important - price.

Hi,

It is Stickley table and fabricated from cherry.

Dimensions: H30 W62 D30

Price: range around $2k

Here's my desk (though mine is a bit bigger, same model):

It's really not bad for the price. I haven't really found a desk I really, really like yet - so this Ikea one will do for now.

Yeah, I have an adjustable desk at work made by some company called varidesk. A bunch of people randomly got them one day, and I missed out on that. But one of my coworkers got fed up of it so I inherited his tabletop lol.

It's fantastic! I spend about (at least) half the day standing. You really need your monitors on an arm to make them high enough though.

And compared to a full standing desk they're a little cheaper. Looking at the prices now, wow. Not that much cheaper. They make sitting a bit more awkward, though.

I use a varidesk at work too. I try to stand, but not nearly as often as I should.

I started to build a standing desk out of some old pallets, and I almost had it finished before we had to downsize. Now there's no room in the apartment, so it's sitting unfinished in storage. I want to do a poured resin top so that you can see the wood (which is very uneven) underneath. And then I need to poly-coat the rest of the desk.

These are some work-in-progress photos of the desk, though they don't show the current condition. I added a shelf across the bottom and some 1x4 trim along the desktop to hide the edges.

Me too, IKEA Galant. But i have the dark brown table top version. Should've bought a white top. You see everything on that dark wood, most of the time dust

I've had this desk from IKEA (love that place) for about two years. Apparently they discontinued it and it has been wiped from existence as I cannot find it anywhere online except for this photo. It's a great, sturdy, compact little desk. But, the keyword is "little" because that is the type of space I currently have for my home office. I am a minimalist, so it works good enough.

I have that same desk, but the longer one that can seat two people. I was looking for a table like Snoop Dogg has on his GGN show on YouTube.

Photo from my last desk upgrade, now a (motorized) height adjustable desk sized 180x90cm. Don't mind the cables, though - they have been tidied up afterwards. :)

This is sort of a re-post of my Mac Setup, but the Desk is a dining table, specifically the Morbylanga from Ikea.

I was using a fantastic set of Hamlyn desks, which lasted for years; I was a bit of a snob about using solid wood desks in my office. But when it came time to remodel I couldn't find anything that fit my size requirements. I saw a few setups online using harvest tables, and I thought that work to fit my hardware, while giving me some breathing room -- I'm running 2 32" BenQ CAD monitors, I downgraded my Cintiq 22HD to a 13HD. The old setup with all three displays was ludicrous. The results came out fantastic. Lots of space, enough room to fit everything on a single desk.

The Mörbylånga does look impressive. I didn't know IKEA made such a table, solid and durable looking.

I was skeptical myself, until I took the drive down to a local store and gave it a once-over in person. I was instantly sold. Mounted a few of their wire management systems underneath, and proceeded to fall in love. It's my favorite desk thus far.

Well, I have to say that I know very well where you are coming from, because I am 'a bit of a snob about using solid wood desks' myself. Actually, I love solid wood, and love well made wooden products.

Your desk is lovely; what is the wood used?
