My mid-2007 iMac has the yellowing "issue" and it seems it still exists. What makes you think that they will all of the sudden be on top of it this year?

I am not directing any anger towards you, if that is how it sounds. I am just very upset with it. I love the iMac. Can't wait to see what they have in store for the refresh... But my screen has looked like **** within a year of purchasing it and it saddens me to know that they still have not done anything about it.

I'm sorry but building and designing a very compact great looking complete PC in the back of a 2" thin screen chassis will always give you some trouble with particles, dust and residue from the components inside the case !

This is why I dumped the iMac before I even unpacked it and shipped it right back to Apple.
Will never ever buy a computer and display in one small unit - NEVER

So why do you own a Macbook Pro (from your signature).;)

Watch out for apple stores trying to push sales. They refused to sell me the base 15" 2011 mbp because they wanted to sell the refurbs and bto 2010 models first. It's unlikely you'll get one from an apple store for several weeks after launch.

cHSeifert here's a heads up for you.
2" on an Imac or 10" in a tower is the same thing if you living in filth, If you live reasonably clean dust or residue will never be a problem. This is fact, do your homework.

Well here's one right back at you, Mr. Fanboy

Comparing an iMac, which has a screen AND an entire computer in the same 2" case, has exactly NOTHING in common with a computer in a tower or for that matter in a MacBookPro laptop, where computer and display are placed in two separate compartments, which means dust and particles from the computer can not in any way get in contact with the screen on the display.

In an iMac you don't have this separation - hence the reason you see so many with screens full of dust, particles and residue from the computer components !

So please do you own homework before you preach your false and incorrect information

The iMac design is bound to get many iMac owners into trouble within 1 year of purchase, not all Imac owners, but a LOT of them !

This is all true. Luckily, it's a trivial matter to remove the glass and clean it. Internally, the iMac gets about the same amount of dust build up as a PC. I cleaned mine when I replaced the HD after over 3 years of use. Brought the temps down a few degrees.

So it's not so difficult to replace the HD?

LMAO what are you even talking about? :p

when the new imacs come out u can order one from Apple.com the same day the new iMac comes out and it ships within 24 Hours, dont talk nonsense please.

They tried to sell YOU an old product , that doesnt mean they do that in every apple store and to everyone.

So does anyone know why Tuesday is the traditional day for apple releases? Conspiracy theories welcome.:)
