Once the next iPhone has been jailbroken, I will do an early upgrade. I will then sell my 32 GB 3GS jailbroken and unlocked with all SHSH on file, hopefully for about twice what my early upgrade cost.

Bump app development, so I can give a friend back his backup 2G that I borrowed...

I will put my 3g back into its box, along side the 2g I just bought with its box, and I will buy a 3Gs for extremely cheap from someone who wants a new iPhone!! I love collecting!

I'm a collector too! I still have my first phone from like 1999-2000

As a related topic.
I did some digging around on apples site, and found out that apple care plands transfer ownership! cool!

On page 6, item #6.

(Although I'm sure all you Apple crazies already knew this.

Does this make the value go up on the phone? Since most phones on ebay are out of warranty? I would be willing to pay premium $ for a phone that still had a year left on its warranty plan.

I don't remember the exact site address but there is a site out there that will buy your old iPhones.

If I sold my 16gb 3G on there right now they'd give me $200.

I will be selling my 3G in preparation for the 4G. I also have a 1G that is jailbroke and fully unlocked. I will keep that and use that as my "beach" phone. It will also be the phone that I bring with me to Europe next year.

well since you asked.......

I currently have a 3G jailbroken and eligible for an upgrade. I also have the WiFi iPad.

I will probably just keep my current 3G after upgrading and add a line to my family plan ($10.00). Then my jailbroken 3G will effectively become my data connection for my iPad via MyWi.

Yeah it's about $10.00 more a month then the 3G iPad's data plan but it'll give me the security of an "extra" phone and the convenience of a good, stable jailbroken device that can act as a WiFi hotspot.

Anyone else doing something similar?
