It's probably just like if a car salesman owns a Honda but works at a Ford dealership. Nothing says he has to own a Ford to work there and it would be ridiculous to make such a requirement.
Well, considering you would get a free Mac and a free iPad and a free iPod and a free iPhone and a free Apple Watch, I think that showing up with a Razer at work would sound like deliberate confrontation. I would avoid that even if it's not written in the rules.
This falls squarely into "it's not forbidden but frowned upon" territory.
But then again I'd like to know how many Apple employees use Spotify because nobody uses that ****** ****ing disastrous steaming pile of **** that is Apple Music[/QUOTE
While I was there we did not get free hardware. Software yes. We got discounts on ipods and macs but no discounts at the time on the phone or ipad. I believe the ipad is now discounted for employees and they offer a discounted phone plan.
Interesting how a lot this serious work happens on Macs.I guess anybody who does anything serious for work isn’t going to be using a Mac, lol. Obvs phones are a different matter
For example?Interesting how a lot this serious work happens on Macs.
For example?
99% of the world business uses PC's
Banks use PC's
Hollywood uses PC's
Sources?Hollywood uses Macs (well studio secretaries might use PCs)
Architects use Macs
Photo editors use Macs
Pretty much all cool, new, tech-y companies use macs (Airbnb, Uber and the like)
Meaning no serious work is done on Macs? And that there aren't even whole companies or at the very least all kinds of divisions within various companies that mostly use Macs, as has already been pointed out in thread about that kind of thing before, like https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/who-uses-macs-in-the-business-world.2149445/ ?For example?

Those are some vague examples and that's not my point, your point is that if 1/10 business uses a Mac then "business uses Macs" they do but not in larger scale, especially if you check the market share and how cheaper it is to get powerful computers compared to Macs, there's no Macs for post production in Hollywood for that reason.Meaning no serious work is done on Macs? My point was in response to someone who basically said that no real work gets done with a Mac, which is certainly not the case. Those are some vague examples and that's not my point, your point is that if 1/10 business uses a Mac then "business uses Macs" they do but not in larger scale, especially if you check the market share and how cheaper it is to get powerful computers compared to Macs, there's no Macs for post production in Hollywood for that reason.

In other news:What would happen if an Apple Employee is caught by coworkers using Android and Windows devices due to being unable to afford Apple products?
Would they assume that the employee was experiencing financial difficulties and take up a collection to get the Apple devices for the employee? Would the employee be fired for being seen using non-Apple products? Would the company simply provide Apple products at no cost to such an employee to prevent the employee from being forced to used substandard versions of Windows and Android devices?
