In the Contacts app or when looking into Contacts from a messaging or phone call app, some contacts have multiple emails and phone numbers. I have a few that have three of each (home, work, cell numbers and home, work, and alternate email addresses).

It takes a few moments of making sure that I pick the correct one.

It'd be cool if I had the option in the app to designate a "Primary" when there are multiple addresses, emails, or phone numbers. The Primary could display in bold.

That would make it a cinch to immediately pick the correct one.

There are several things that need to be changed.

- Newsstand and iBook should be the same application
- Stock applications we don't use should be turned off (like Nike+)
- Different signatures for different email accounts
- Siri APIs should be opened up (i.e. so that I can tell Siri to tweet something)
- Facebook integration just like Twitter is integrated
- Notification Center APIs need to be opened to developers so other widgets can be made
- SB settings should be accessible from Notification Center

A side note...MR should make an app so I can view these forums easier on my iPhone.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Needs an icon near the clock to show its on silent

Larger folder storage - scrollable on swipe (e.g. can store 16 apps)
Set default browser to something other than Safari
Disable gestures for individual apps
App store improvements - can swipe to scroll, fix the lingering bugs
Lockable folders and/or apps (*** so I can lock my email/Angry Birds/photos/music when I lend out my iPad to students)
Spotlight search - an option to just show me what screen/folder the target is in :D

Needs a better "QUIET!" modality

I find the "Notifications" stuff to be a UI mess.
(iPod Touch)

Here's the use case:

You're using the device for your morning wake-up alarm clock, so you can't just silence everything by setting the volume to zero.

Email comes in at 2AM ... bing!
NY Times updates itself at 3AM ... bong!
Facebook stuff at 4AM ... boom!

etc.

So the next night, you go into Notifications and turn off each one of the ones listed there, a tedious manual process that's repeated for every single App that you allowed Notifications in the first place.

3AM ... ding dong!
Yup, it looks like I missed one somehow. Go check under the MAIL settings to see how I missed that one.

There's other things that need to be changed too ... I'm trying to figure out why only half of my Photos uploaded to iCloud right now ...

...oh, and in checking the iCloud.com web interface, this content isn't even listed. What's that about? I know that I'm not running Lion, but it is hard to believe that merely viewing a webpage should legitimately invoke an OS version requirement...

In the music app I wish they'd remove the all albums entry from the top of the artists view and the all songs from the top of albums. I have those buttons on the bottom if I wanted to switch to the view.

When the phone is in silent mode i wish you could change from total silent mode to vibrate mode via the volume buttons...

I guess the main problem here is that, unlike the iPhone and iPad, Apple choose not to give the iPod touch a switch for disabling notification sounds.

Quiet Time settings for sounds with options to select which items will be muted-calls ok, mail, texts mute, etc.

Scrollable dock icons.

maybe a partial solution... I have noticed that even with my phone set on silent/vibrate mode (using the switch on the side) the native alarm clock feature overrides that setting and will still ring in the morning!

I want to be able to set specific options for which reminders show up on the lock screen. I use some of them as "keep this in mind" things so they don't really have a date or time, I want to see them whenever I am on the notifications panel.

His touch doesn't have that switch.

I'd also like to have independent volume control over ringer, system, and notifications.

Texting while in app like some of the jailbreak apps, FaceTime over 3G and I'd be happy

I would tweak the mail account settings to allow a separate signature per mail account. It is stupid that we can only have one signature for all the accounts.

If S/MIME u are talking about, u can have different signature for ur accounts. I did have 3 each for an account.

U can use Tapatalk to view this forum and many others on ur iPhone

LED notification

Need the cameral to flash when incoming call, this would be so useful:)

WE ALSO NEED PROFILES FOR PEOPLE AT WORK NOT JUST PUT ON SILENT:confused:

I agree that this could use improvement, but in the meantime a work-around is to put the Touch into airplane mode at night - rather than changing every notification one at a time. The process you describe gobbles up a lot of time & effort.

* shortcuts for things like Wifi, BT etc etc.
* relax the walled garden - so developers can produce a broader range of applications ( while still have 'enough' security )
* widgets
* timed profiles ( i.e., silent, work, out doors ) - abililty to change at a given time, calendar entry, location, start and stop applications / wifi / BT etc.
* auto suggestions - not just corrections
* ability to completely remove icons of apple stock icons ( not just put them into an appropriately named folder )
