A ethernet to firewire adapter offered by apple, so whiners can shush for a bit.

To be quite honest, I don't have anything, there isn't a new product that I really want to see from Apple, I'm not interested in a tablet mac, I think they're a gimmick that doesn't serve well in everyday use.

Maybe a slightly cheaper Mac Pro, but if you go down the single CPU route it gets quite cheap for the speed you're getting anyway...

I don't understand why wanting FireWire makes us whiners. Our equipment will only run on FireWire and not everyone wants to carry a 15" around with them just so they can have a port that should be on a 13".

What everyone else in the world wants......a tablet mac.

You forgot to ask me. I've got no interest in a tablet Mac. :p

I would like to see an iTunes server, where you could share a library stored on a NAS drive (or server) with Mac & PC clients on the network.

When you add media to the library it would automatically update all the clients and keep track of play counts and ratings. Clients could create their own playlists from the library and sync with their iPods & iPhones. It could be restricted to the maximum of 5 clients as allowed for DRM encoded iTunes downloads to keep the music & movie industries happy.

Oh, and FireWire & matte screen options throughout the Apple product range. ;)

I want a Mac Mini that is skinnier than the current one, with an Intel Core 2 Quad, 16 GBs of RAM, a 2 TB Desktop Hard Drive, an ATI 4850 x2 card, Blu-Ray player and burner, and a built in refrigerator.

I think asking for a refrigerator is pushing it!

not an accessory but i'd like to see apple come out with a really cool looking laptop like the clamshell ibooks. Those were some great laptops, they were easy to work on, durable, and the handle was the best part, you could carry like 8 at a time.

I have a Clamshell iBook. It may be old, but it still runs at a decent speed.

Where to begin...

  • A mid-range Mac Tower that is user upgradeable like the Mac Pro
    ...
  • iTunes to finally allow ripping of DVD's
    ...

Those would be awesome! Especially the bit about the DVDs, but the ability to burn DVDs bought from the iTunes Store would be even better. Plus a CDMA iPhone would be sweet.

Product Avalibility, especially the new MBP. Seriously, they make great product but everyone has to wait weeks before they can get one ( hopefully a store near me is getting the model I want tomorrow :D... 3 hour drive tho )

Price drops, due to the exchange rate the base model MBP has risen £100, and the other 2 models around £200.

I'd like Mac Mini to get a bit competitive, and Apple to stay somewhat competitive. 4 gigs of ram should come standard, ram is not that expensive anymore, stop ripping off your customers.

There should also be a lower end Mac Pro, totally possible, and in demand for sure. Not sure which processors they'd put in, but there was a $1499 G5 PowerMac at one time.

Oh yes, and let iTunes rip DVD's.

1. A mini desktop tower for those who don't want a Mac Pro. I don't want one, but I want it in Apple's line-up.

2. A computer like the new Dell Mini 12, except maybe with an 11" screen instead. I wouldn't even mind if it was $1000. Just don't make it as ridiculously expensive as an MBA.

3. Computers that have the ports and slots you'd expect from a computer at their price. They either have too few of some ports, or they lack a feature entirely (e.g. SD card reader, FireWire). Macs aren't cheap computers, so you'd expect at least the ports that are considered rather basic now.

Like many posters have said, a netbook!! I don't even really care about the specs, as long as it can run multiple office docs and firefox at the same time. 9-10'' screen, 5+ hrs of battery life with wi-fi on, 2.2/2.3 pounds. If it's over 2.5 pounds then I would rather get the MBA with much better screen/keyboard and performance.

an indestructible Macbook Pro so I could throw it at my girlfriend's best friend when she calls my MBP an expensive piece of ****.

Then boast "Ha your PC would break on your face wouldn't it!"

I don't know if they have one out yet, if so, could someone please post a link to it?

An Apple IIe/IIc/IIgs emulator. Have some old 5.25s that I'd love to spin again.

BL.

a "mini" mac pro... two hdd bays, one slot for a cd drive (blue ray), 8 gigs max ram, take away 2 of the PCI express slots but same power as current mac pro.

Matte display options on the Pro line of hardware (repeat infinity)...

Other than that, I'd like to see Apple integrate the Apple TV and Mini into one product with intergrated support for the iPhone/iPod Touch as a peripheral.

Said product should include Blu-ray despite Steve's stupid 'bag of hurt' belief, and using the iPhone/iPod Touch as a trackpad/controller with the multi-touch and accelerometer would be fantastic for all sorts of applications.
