128 GB SSD was what I was trying to say earlier, sorry.

After thinking about it for a few day's while using my MBA I would also add that it needs another USB port and the headphone jack should be moved away from the current spot. When I have my USB 881 laptop connect card plugged in it's hard to plug in my headphones. Actually it's damn near impossible you have to plug them in first and then connect the laptop card. So if you want to unplug the headphones you have to remove the laptop card.

None of the above. Larger hard drive. Faster-charging battery. Improve Flash performance (YouTube problem). Built-in ethernet. Make the screen bigger by filling the space in the bezel. Or shrink the footprint of the computer and keep the existing screen size.

Intel SLs being granted :)
1) 1440x900 screen
2) second RAM slot / or 4 Gb in top spec (pray it's not outrageously priced)
3) SATA connection, that way I'll decide what to put inside :D
4) some innovation in ports department :
it can be a third port ..... but I'd rather have DVI converted into DisplayPort and tricked to act as a second USB/FW.
Anyway Apple has it's own unique (read: incompatible) DVI connector, so it can become really innovative and double as useful.

Also a port on a power cord could make sense, as we tend to have different configurations/needs while out there, or home & plugged.
So it can be native ethernet probably? Or can it sport additional USB also?
That way (@home/work) we could shut flip door up, and have all USB connections done with a single power cord (and a stationary USB hub - Speakers, iPods, HDDs, etc)

P.S. putting ethernet on a power brick itself is not brilliant, as that brick is usually few yards from you, probably sitting on a wall.
So a dongle hanging from power cord within 5 inches from Magsafe would be better.

You mean what SSD you'll put inside? Because as far as I know there're no 1.8" SATA HDDs that fit in Air - it needs to be 5mm thin. If I'm wrong tell me that, I'd really like if they used SATA, making it easier to upgrade (Intel X18-M comes to my mind...).

More RAM, More space

I want an option for 4 GB of RAM, a faster/larger SSD drive, and a matte screen. I also want them to fix the misc. problems that seem to be cropping up.

Nothing in the poll is high on my list. I have an iPhone for music, the processor is plenty fast (except fix the overheating problem), it's already plenty thin, and I use CDs less often than I cut my toenails. I wouldn't argue with more connectivity, but I don't really care enough to make it an issue.

I only want two things:
1) Fix the problems users are having today. They're inexcusable in a product at this price point.
2) A higher-res screen.

Everything else is gravy.

My point exactly. The screen won't cut it - seeing the checkerboard of lines between the pixels is very tiring on the eyes.

1. Increased battery life or field removable battery.
2. Higher screen resolution.

I am completely happy with everything but the battery life for now. More RAM would be great, I was a little bummed to find out it was not a single module that I could bump to 4GB when available.

Probably the most necessary is a bigger ssd, hopefully 128gb, and maybe 2Ghz, but that isn't very necessary.

Isn't that Adobe's job???

Isn't that Adobe's job???

It might be Adobe's job, but it's Apple's problem. People don't think "YouTube sucks on the Mac version of Flash," they think "YouTube sucks on a Mac." And it sucks the most on the MBA.

Apple could be working harder with Adobe -- even paying them -- to solve this problem. There's no reason on earth that a computer with a total of 3.2 ghz of computing power should choke on a 5-minute video clip.

I have also noticed this stalling problem with Shockwave Flash video clips. They are much slower than the QuickTime format, and I don't like the difficulty in downloading and playing the video in a standalone application.

I have been trying to get videos from MySpace to play, and they refuse to even download. Why can't these companies use a format that can be downloaded and saved as a regular file, instead of using some streaming format won't play on my Mac's browser?

None on the poll.

What I'd like to see is:
- More RAM (4GB)
- More SSD/HDD options (give them ALL to us)
- NO retracting port hatch!
- An external Super Drive that works will all USB ports
- Much longer battery life.
- Same price tags, just a few more refined features.

I would like it to have more and faster ram. Firewire, bigger hard drive/ SSD
I think they should allow for a user replaceable battery. They life of the battery doesn't really need to be better. Much more powerful processor that produces less heat.

None of these.
A FireWire 400 port.

Maybe a 11"-12" screen but widescreen
and 4GB of RAM standard.

In some ways but i could say the same for you! What I really like is the Thinness of the computer as well as the weight and overall tapered design.

I like those as well, the thinness and weight. I just think having the same single USB port and more innards would benefit the market the machine is made for.

FW400 may not since most users of the book won't be carrying anything else but the machine.

OR

We could have a Sony TZ like machine with the Sony TZ $2700 price tag.

I own the current generation MBA, and I'm really looking forward to a serious upgrade to take a very good Mac and make it great. Below is my wish list:

Must Have's:

1. 128gb SSD
2. 4gb Memory
3. Fast GPU
4. Fix the heat/core shut down issue
5. Keep the quality. (The MBA is the last of the high quality portables Apple makes right now.)

As long as that is the upgrade list, I'll buy the upgrade. But again, I love my MBA.

Wish List/Nice-to-Have's:

1. Another USB Port
2. Longer battery life
3. Another speaker
4. 2.0 Ghz CPU
