Not trying to be a troll but what's with obsession with USB-C and why is it so important to people?

USB-C has become the standard for all other devices. Also leaves the possibility open for Thunderbolt on an iPhone. Which would make huge sense with the quality/size videos that can be recorded. And max storage capacity of iPhones.

You need a USB-C to lightning cable for rapid charging, so why not go all the way with it. Apple doesn't even include USB-A to lightning anymore in their products.

The lightning cable is very limited with transfer speeds, basically USB 2 speeds.

New form factor of course

Significant improvements to the telephoto and ultra wide cameras. The main camera is great but we are now literally using it in place of the telephoto lens because the main is so much better that it's a better solution to carve out a portion of that camera's sensor for 2x zoom. Telescoping lens could be the answer for this, we'll see.

Better battery life always.

I feel the same way. Not a HUGE deal. Yeah it would be nice to only have one cable to worry about. But just feel like a game changing feature like making the phone far lighter would

What about a iPhone larger than the Pro Max at 7.3 inch display? I'm sure many would buy that!

I will probably sit the next couple of cycles out, but I’d love a 10x optical zoom and USB-C.

I’m guessing they’ll only do 10x optical for the 15 Pro Max and I’m just a little Pro bro. We shall see!

I find it incredible that I have USB-C on my 2018 iPad Pro, but not on my 2022 iPhone 14 Pro. I’d enjoy not carrying a lightning cable around for my phone only.

I upgrade every year just for the heck of it. But, my list of wants are:

USB-C
New body design
TouchID
Product Red, in a Pro (not some muted red)

Of course we’ll always have camera improvements and speed improvements. Idk what else would WOW me, though. Weighing less would be great, too!

I keep telling myself this will be the upgrade for next 3 - 4 years but have updated every year.

I hope I will hold the 14PM for next 3 - 4 years.

Happy with lightening don’t worry about USB C, Have got AOD, 120Hz, more than good cameras for my photography skills.

By holding long enough on this model I am going to downgrade in the future to a plus model. May be a 17 or a 18 plus which may have a 16PM feature.

3D Touch.

I want 3D Touch back more than I want any new features. I'm still sad that they ended up ditching it, it was an entirely different dimension for interacting with the device. The main issues with it were discoverability and the fact that Apple never really put 3D Touch on all its (at the time) current iPhone models, meaning developers couldn't rely on it being present on every user's device. If they'd fully committed to including it on every model and provided a visual indicator for UI elements that you could 3D Touch, I'm sure that would've gone a long way in making it more utilized and more useful.

Outside of that I really don't have any specific needs that my 13 Pro doesn't fulfill. I'd love to finally get a proper all-screen phone (without any cutout) at some point, but I think we're probably still many years away from that.

As a photographer I'd like to the cameras done differently.

To keep the costs the same:

Keep the main 48MP 1/1.28" 24mm camera. Ditch the 1/2.55" 13mm wide angle. 24mm is wide enough. Use another 48MP 1/1.28" for the 77mm telephoto camera. So now there are only two cameras but better quality.

But the dream would be:

24mm, 50mm, 100mm lenses all with the 48MP 1/1.28" sensors.

Additionally, I would really appreciate being able to adjust some of the computational parameters. Especially sharpening. Over sharpening in mobile cameras is absolutely horrible and I wish it could be adjusted.

I'd be happy if that's the only change that was made with the iPhone 15!
