The price difference is minimal. Do I go for a 13 inch but 16GB RAM MacBook? or 15 inch screen but 8GB RAM? I used to have the 13-inch MacBook air and hated the small screen. But will 8GB RAM and 1TB SDD slow my computer down?

This is one of the most asked question. I regret it to have only 8gb ram, come from 16gb. normal usage 8 gb is ok but I think 16 gb or 24 gb ram is the way to go. 1tb ssd is enough even 512 gb ssd for most users.

It depends on what you are doing - its hard to answer that without details.

8GB is rather small for a computer with as much potential power as a M3 Mac and its really past time that Apple raised the base spec or cut the eye-watering upgrade price - but it is OK for "light use" (esp. if you avoid having lots of browser tabs open...)

Personally, I'd wait to save up the extra $200 and get the 15" with 16GB.

Are you buying new, or is this a special offer/refurb/used deal?

Just about always go for the most RAM you can afford - I say that as a happy 8GB owner, because it's good advice. My 15-inch M3 MBA is absolutely fine for all the things I do with it, so no complaints about the lower RAM capacity, but I knew it was sufficient for the things I was ever going to do with it.

But unless you are really unhappy with a 13-inch screen (I was, because it's not large enough to work with my declining eyesight) the smaller screen and larger RAM is the better way to go.

refurbished from Apple. Diff in price is 1609 and 1619 euros. They don't have any other option. This is truly the max I can afford...And I really want 1TB
