YES! I'm so happy for Killing Floor. It gets about equal time to the L4D games at my lan get togethers. Some of my friends prefer it. (I don't personally but it's still a blast)
Its pretty different to L4D.. A bit more repetitive but with a lot more customisation, levelling up, character classes etc. Definitely worth the money IMO.
Looking forward to L4D2 and TF2 still, but it's no biggie, they're still on bootcamp. Win-win. XD
But once you know the maps you just end up going back to the same places anywayWell, KF is definitely better if you want to play on more than 5 maps.![]()

- Roughly two thirds of all Steam Mac users are running on a laptop.
- Portal (with the same code base across platforms) is one fifth as likely to crash on a Mac than on Windows.
- And one week after launch, already more than eleven percent of all Steam purchases are for the Mac.
L4D has more than 5 maps. Each campaign has 5 maps and there's 4 of them (plus a smaller 3 map campaign). And there's Versus and Survival modes.
There's some preliminary data from the last week-

altitude is such a simple game, yet fun! man, steam has sure brought a lot of games that have gone unnoticed to me to light! So tempted to buy the indie pack as well!

I'm thinking Orange Box might be released next Wednesday. Portal free trial lasts until the 24th so Valve might be using that to keep us occupied until a big release on the 26th. Just a thought.
My understanding is that it's not a free trial, it's a free copy. i.e. anyone who downloads it for free before the 24th gets to continue using it as long as they like. After the 24th, it goes back to whatever it's normal price is. Think of it as a 100% off sale.

I haven't played it since the day I bought it but it was very fun indeed! Might spend the rest of the night playing through these games on my macbook.
Perhaps it's a plan to get a good number of Mac users before launching the really awesome stuff. <-- I hope.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was also to get a bunch of feedback on what they need to fix so they can avoid problems with the release of the rest of the catalogue.
