So far, this is my option. I have the Nexus now and will probably get the next Nexus if it the specs are significantly better. It would be a nice bonus if the fit and finish was more luxurious as well.
If the specs are the same as the S3, then that is fine with me as the Nexus is already quite far behind by this point.Historically, the Nexus specs don't get bumped very much. In this regard, it's a shame they follow Apple. The specs will probably be nearly identical, if not, slightly better than the S3. That's my prediction.
I'm hoping not only is the design more premium, but they handle the launch better. I think this is vital. It needs to be fully unlocked, no carrier exclusivity, on the Google Play store, and available in multiple storage sizes (maybe offer two or more colors too). And if they can do all this while keeping the price point competitive, that'd be a better launch.
I'm finally fed up with the incremental updates to the iPhone... i have had every version through the 4, but I've just gotten bored with it.
I'm getting a galaxy s3 on monday.
I would love it if HTC could be the manufacture of the new Nexus device. The new HTC One X seems to do everything right where Samsung went wrong (great fit and finish, battery life, call quality, and camera). An HTC Nexus would be a no brainer if they could work together and would surely be a monumental phone.
The original Nexus was HTC, no?
My question though, is this - wouldn't it make the most sense for Motorola to start making the Nexus devices? They're basically Google's indirect hardware provider now so you'd think Google would insist that the "developer" device be straight from them.
