Of all the places to put their logo! Verizon must be run by people that A don't care about their customers or B don't know or care about phones or C both.

If apple has anything going for them it's the ability to not be pushed around by carriers. Take it or leave it. I guess carriers do get away with their name on screen by the signal strength which my Xoom does not have.

I expect a 16GB version for the Play Store.

And I'm hoping Google at the conference will, at least, mention the 32GB is coming down the line. An ETA would be even better.

Definitely hope so too. A flagship device with lower memory than the one its replaces is just bizarre.

Does it have a microSD card slot ? I'm wondering if google are perhaps having such low onboard to save money, knowing customers can add more at their own cost if they wish to do so? Otherwise I'm still baffled by the choice of 8GB as a starter.

I'm starting to think 8GB might be the only version announced on Monday. Very disappointing.

From the renders there wasn't any sign of a slot for the SD card, just one for the SIM card.

Edit: looking back at the picture we can only see the left side of the phone. Maybe there's an SD card slot on the right? :p

Google has stated they don't want sd-card on nexus products. But 8 GB? Just way too little. Seems like they don't want to sell any of these...

Nexus 1 had external storage. And the Xoom (albeit not labeled Nexus) has external storage.
