About the flash drives, i dont understand why everyone is making a big deal...if the benifits of faster and longer battery life are there, then I want a flash drive and I will store old stuff on a external firewire.

Flash should at least be an option IF its feasible and long lasting.

Well, if you have $1000 to drop on a 32GB SSD, go for it. The rest of us live in the real world and can't afford a $1000 hard drive.

* Increased processor speeds, notice the plural, not just 2.4GHz

Apple can't magically stick processors in their systems that don't exist. I'd imagine the MBP line will get 2.2GHz and 2.4GHz chips in them at next refresh. The Penryn line-up isn't due until 4Q 2007 or early 2008, so you most likely won't see any chips higher than 2.4GHz in an Apple laptop before 2008.

if it's just a minor upgrade, like faster cpu and stuff then it will *probably* not worth updating from a C2D to the new one but if it's a big upgrade and/or case redesign then it'll be a Rev.A again and most will wait for Rev.B to get the bugs ironed out, that'll make these new mbpro a safe buy sometime in 2008 :D so don't get your hopes up too much guys :D
