I noticed with that the sole exception of books (*), I am not really interested in buying items. I have absolutely no desire for a new computer, iPhone (currently on X), television, car, etc. nada, zero. I used to almost envy (using a stronger word than the actual feeling) those with the greatest and latest of everything.
(*) = and since I enjoy to cook, maybe some cooking tool, esp. cast iron pans etc.

It seems Fukushima overtook Chernobyl last year and it will still take over 20 years to decommission.... we need more disasters like Chernobyl?

Finally received my copy of the David Lynch biography Room to Dream, but the damn thing is so heavy I can't comfortably read it lying down on the couch. It seems I need to build myself a book holding contraption of some sort. Possibly with an added page turner thingamabob.

Yeah, but also no. I like my books, records, films and the like in physical formats. A Kindle would probably be a pretty good compromise between physical and digital, but still, I don't think I'm quite there yet.
What I probably should do instead is start hitting the gym again...

On my mind this morning was taking a photo of an old million-times-washed kitty-quilt I had made decades ago for a couple of my sister's cats. But her current felines were hamming it up playing kiss-kiss games while I was trying to document a quilt with a block I couldn't remember the name of so I'd be reminded to look it up when I got home. Thanks, buddies. Well I looked up the block name later, the yellow and blues one is "Brock House". The kitties are Olaf and Horst and they weren't really kissing... that scene turned into into a quick right jab from Olaf and and a dash away to avoid retaliation by Horst.

Just got off work. I put in a long day, but it was lovely to be honest. I misunderstood one assignment and spent two hours doing the wrong thing. The boss was totally understanding, though, and it ended up being used to an extent anyway.
