As pointed out, cost comparisons across countries are inherently unfair. The cost of doing business in some countries is much higher. The taxes may be higher. There may be tariffs as well. Brazil is famous for its enormous tariffs. 50%, if it's not made in Brazil, if I recall correctly. 50%!!!

No Dutch Refurbished store? Bummer! I guess you can buy from other European countries refurb sites but that isn't the point is it?

That's what people tried to do with the iPhone 3G and 3GS but Apple cancelled those orders. People had to order in their local store. The EP complained about the iTunes Music Store because of something similar (different stores with even different pricing within the EU and EU member states that use the Euro).
