Whats the most you would pay for a 42" tv made by apple

500.00 max. I can't see Apple garnering a premium on an everyday "appliance" that is not dynamically different than others on the market.

If it is a Revolutionary product, however, maybe they could go as high as $999 for a 42". Considering this is on the small end of LCD TV's and LED TV's, it would probably still need to be below this price point.

I'll answer in ten years, when the HDTV I already own stops working.

This is why I think apple should just keep it as it is now a device that hooks to your tv. I just don't see people trading in their tv every two years.

for 42" I would pay $600. Nothing more. I just don't see them doing anything better than what is currently made by others.

I would be unlikely to buy an Apple branded TV because of the likely price premium. It depends who makes the panel but I like my Panasonic plasmas.

Since it will be a glossy screen, I'd pay $4.99 if it came with a free soft drink.
