whats the point in hacking with the SDK on the way?

Yeah as long as Apple has to approve the apps, there is no way all the apps in Installer will be making it through. But my "dream" would be to have a jailbroken and SDK iPhone. Im also hoping if the developers can use the SDK, there wont be any more bugs, so we will have perfectly jailbroken iPhones with perfect programs!!

I agree. I don't think there is a way to permanently brick an iPhone (besides throwing it up against a brick wall).

Alot of people here seem to find a way to restore it. I myself came REAL close to freaking out, The silver Apple would show up for about 20 seconds and then the phone would reset. I tried to get it in to restore mode, iTunes would recognize it but then it would reset. Somehow, I got iTunes to start the restore process before the phone reset again...

Yeah, the only way you can brick a phone is through unlocking it, and even then, now with ZiPhone, most likely, you could fix that; although GeoHot has actually bricked at least 1 phone to my knowledge...
