What's the worst mac you have ever owned?

Well, it's a tie.
I have a stock MBP 1.83 right now. The buzzes (both processor buzz and display whine) have been driving me crazy. The processor buzz was going on really loudly this afternoon, but it's not here right now. It gets really warm too, and the fans blow. It's pretty annoying. However, the computer is really fast and really nice. But the OS is a bit buggy, as I'm basically a tester for Apple of Intel Mac OS X. And it's kind of annoying having not too many Universal programs. Come on, Sims 2, Office and Firefox, be made Universal already!

you chose to buy this machine, knowing that you would be prone to Rev A glitches, as well as incompatable software, quit complaining.


on another note...my worst machine was all of the icbooks I had, everyone of them died.

If you are...woah!! Do you really think that just because he buys the first incarnation of a product he should be subjected to a poor design, and faulty components?

We all know rev.A have problems usually, but in fairness, thats Apple's fault and Apple's problem - it shouldn't be the consumer that suffers in all of this.

Worst Mac? Powerbook Ti 867 15". Hinge broke, battery got lodged, frequent kernal panics, a bad HDD and eventually there were so many bad pixels I sold it on eBay!!

totally serious. I don't see a poor design, but faulty components, maybe.

If he didn't want "problems" he should have wated til' a rev B, this is general knowledge.

i never had a problem so much with a hardware item from apple, but os 8.1 was a dog of an operating system...and os 9.0 (first release) was kind of buggy
