I'm just curious as I think I may have less then the standard (perhaps defect?)
Please state your model as well as your capacity!

Macbook Pro 13"
Mine's at 5540 (max capacity).

6826 out of an original 6500

100% health. Seems to me like your battery is defective. Mine lasts me somewhere near 8 hours. What about yours? perhaps you haven't calibrated it?

Sorry, that is correct I use the 13" MBP model. I use coconutBattery to check these things although no necessary at all, I just prefer GUI.

WTF?!!?!

Mine's 5359 full capacity for 13" 2.53.... I'm a little ticked now seeing what you guys are getting with your 13".

EDIT: installed CoconutBattery....

Original 5450
Current 5359

I've only been using this for a few days, how could it have degraded so much already? The stats say the machine is actually 7 weeks old....

I thought 5450 was actually low, I'm happy to know there's nothing wrong with mine.

Age is based on when it was assembled. It hasn't really "degraded". Coconut Battery will vary slightly from time to time on its results. Try to calibrate to improve the battery.

For those of you who have more than the original capacity, how have you calibrated the battery?

Did you run it down to nothing right out of the box, or did you plug it in for a full charge before running it down to nothing the first time? Did you do it twice or just once? How do you use it normally, do you always let it go down to 30% or below before plugging back in, or do you regularly top it off?

I didn't let it rest for 5 or more hours.. more like 2, then I plugged it in.

Next time I calibrate, I'll do that.

I didn't plug it in out of the box. I actually just drained the charge it came with. I calibrated after about a week...so roughly 3 cycles. I have only calibrated once. I followed Apple's instructions, and let it sit overnight before recharging. I never "top it off". I usually let it go from 100% to about 5-10%.
