Most favorite: form factor. Least favorite: the notch

What's interesting, is that no one else has commented on the notch. It's either people are starting accept it for what it is or they're just tired of complaining about it altogether.

My phone doesn’t get here until Monday but I do accept the notch. I also know it’s something I will get used to.

Favourite one thing would be the size. Least favourite, as it's been with all my iPhones, is the silent switch: never deliberately used, always accidentally.

Favorite thing : The design. The stainless steel sides are beautiful.

Least favorite thing: Face ID, Screen size and the washed out OLED display and the that damn notch. Initially the notch didn't bother me but the more I used it, the more it annoyed me. Especially when watching full screen videos.

Stood in line for original and several others (4 was about an 8 hour line) and preordered since. First time I bought late and was going to wait until next year but needed some 'Kool Aid'. Main concern is Face ID and not working under certain conditions like eating and iPhone laying on table. Also concerned about Face ID/:apple:Pay. I like to look around (at the ladies and whatever) and not look at my iPhone to use. Also not a big notch fan. Just got last night and so far the Face ID works most of the time but wish it had both.

Favorites - OLED display/minimal basal and most new gestures

Least - Missing Finger Print ID (needs both/probably next year), Price (knowing OLED/style will probably be standard next year), Notch

EDIT: Still don't like the camera hump (on any iPhone)

I bought an 8 Plus instead of the X as I didn't like the smaller screen and lack of landscape mode. Other than those two things, I don't see much of a problem with the X. It seems like a great phone, but it just wasn't for me. I'll look at an X Plus next year though if landscape mode is included with it.

Love the screen to phone ratio looks really cool and battery life is incredible

Very disappointed with the “OLED” screen. This is the one feature I was most excited for but when looking at a Samsung galaxy and the iPhone X the screen on the X is just blah... maybe it’s just me but I don’t see any difference between the iPhone X screen and the 7 plus LCD screen with the exception of it being brighter. When Apple announced an OLED screen I got my hopes up thinking it would look like the LG or Samsung screens on the market, but it’s not even close.... let me stress that this is my opinion I don’t want to get in to a nerdy discussion about color profiles and over saturated colors etc...

What's your favorite and least favorite thing about the iPhone X?

Most favorite? The whole package I guess, from big things like the screen to small details like the haptics. But if I had to chose one: Face ID.

Least favorite - reaching the top right corner for the Control Center gesture, I guess.

Favorite - OLED (a good one)/form factor/chromed out look $549/2 year contract through loyalty (been on ATT a while) coming from an $879 7+ last year, Face ID sometimes/most of the time I’d say on this one. Camera bump in specs from 7+. The gestures!!!

Least favorite - Quality control lottery this go round especially for the price of the contract free ones (went through hell wit a new unit fixing one problem but introducing another.. ugh this one is finally a keeper all around), and the exorbitant sim free price. Luckily switched to contract. Face ID sometimes like in bed most of all. 64gb base (but its fine for me, still they shoulda given more) Glass back with $549 replacement cost if it shatters, $279 screen replacement increase. No jailbreak (yet)

All in all very happy with this release now that swap hell is behind me And i can just enjoy the thing.

Which i do. 8/10. Pretty solid for a 10th anniversary stock device, and the hype. Most of my negatives are price/apple being stingy with storage or bad quality lol, and lack of jailbreak. That’s pretty good in my view when I’m trying to find things to fault for the device itself,

Most Favorite: Screen to body ratio. Coming from the 6+, this is the perfect size (maybe could be a little wider), and using a case doesn't really feel bulky.

Least Favorite: Price. $200 cheaper would have been the sweet spot.

Best: gestures. The ones that were well thought-through (or at least the ones that *I* thought were well done) make the phone almost disappear. It's almost spooky.

Worst: gestures. The ones that *aren't* totally trip up my use of the phone. In my opinion (and I'm not going to be drawn into any debates about whether anyone out there thinks my opinions are "wrong" on this), the way the notifications and control center work are very anti-ergonomic, and ApplePay (which is a quick and seamless bit of work with an iPhone 7 or 8) is too often a finicky process that requires some user attention.

It's a toss-up for me. The hardware is really brilliant and hopefully can be made even more accessible, even magical, with some more thinking about UI and UX. FaceID works very well for me, though it has some limitations that TouchID does not. I'm currently back to using my iPhone 7 and I go back and forth thinking I miss the X/I am glad I'm back on the 7. It will be a difficult choice. Fortunately, it's only a phone.

Favorite: OLED display-- nice and bright outdoors. Absolutely no visibility issues in any sort of lighting.

Meh: I don't care for the notch, it doesn't add any value to the iPhone experience and is only more noticeable when watching a video full screen.

Least favorite: FaceID, especially in the morning/while in bed. Whether it's my eyes not fully open, the sideways orientation, or my face being partially blocked by the pillow, it's simply not as convenient as having TouchID in the morning.

Favorite: the camera (upgraded from a 6s Plus)

Least Favorite: I miss the home screen rotating. Not a big deal to most people but I miss it.

Swiping like

Thickness and weight dislike
Yeah, I really notice the X's extra thickness and weight when I pick up my old iPhone 7.

Objectively, it doesn't seem like much at all - especially when you compare them side by side. But in actual use it's very noticeable.
