This is interesting, I'd assumed there would be a few people with my exact history, but not so much. I've upgraded every two years like clockwork since the 3GS launch. Formerly because two years was the typical length of a phone contract in the UK, latterly because I like new things and can gift the 'old' iPhones to family members. Also made the choice to continue getting the 'top' iPhone every two years, even after the range diverged when they released the 8 and X at the same time. Very glad I did, the X felt like you were holding a little bit of the future...

I hated the original iPhone back in 2007 i got caught in the hype so when i got the phone it was so gimped even for 2007, i didn't keep it long and sold it on.

I stayed away from iPhone's until the 5S to which i bought a Space Grey 32GB on launch day.
 
I used almost all iPhones. I also most of the time used 2 iPhones (1 for Work and 1 for Privat use)
