Not interested in a folding phone. Current screen size is fine with me ( actually the 6s was fine size). I just can't imagine that over time a folding phone will hold up as well as a fixed phone.
Could change my mind but

Let us get serious and talk from Apple's perspective.

What's the max you'd spend on a 128 GB foldable iPhone?

(in USD, excluding taxes, only for the base model, bare iPhone)

Less than 1500

1500-1999

2000-2999

>3000

Do note, for UK, USD 1500 is actually 1500 pounds. For EU it's probably 1800 euros. And so on.
This whole spending 1300 on a phone ********. It makes you rethink your priorities. I know it has to me. I unfortunately am pass the return period for the max but I don’t want to pay over $1000 for a phone. F that. Especially when I have kids I can’t see myself doing that. Even if it’s for a folding phone. It doesn’t improve my life. I’d rather invest that thing, or build up my patio, backyard, or start my home gym. Tech will depreciate and become useless in a matter of 4 yrs of less. I have to remember my priorities.

After  gets its hands on the Samsung & the other one, they'll likely bail on the idea entirely. A folder fone doesn't fit in anywhere in the  lineup and it's usefulness is questionable.
Apple doesn't want people multitasking on iOS. That's what their computers are for. They want you to buy both (or all three).
The last thing  wants is a device that replaces the iPad & laptops.

There's a point where people will refuse to accept price hikes. I may be in the minority but I'm willing to spend that much on a phone. Apple has been raising it prices on all of its products, at some point consumers will say enough is enough. For me that point is now.
Yep. Still rocking an iPhone 7 here. The value proposition for upgrading just isn't there for me with current models, much less a phone that would cost $1.5K up.

Right now, my personal computing usage is ~85% iPad, ~10% smartphone and ~5% PC. The only way I'd consider getting a $2K phone is if it's good enough to replace both my iPad and iPhone. Initial models, I expect, wouldn't be able to hold a candle to the iPad's excellent battery life.

I’m on the fence with the whole foldable phone thing. Even after seeing the Samsung Fold, I am not yet sold.

So, for now, I will wait to see what, if anything, Apple comes up with in relation to a foldable iPhone.

EDIT: I think I have already been there with the foldable phone. I had a Nokia Communicator.

Not attracted at all by a foldable phone. There are a lot of these new technologies that just fizzle out, I'm not convinced that the foldable phone is going to go anywhere, especially at that price.

I tried to use my iPhone as my primary computing device as much as possible in 2018. That didn't go very well. I now use my MBP and my iPad a LOT more than my iPhone. This means that I will be keeping my iPhone for as long as possible while I utilize devices better suited for their roles. Reading on an iPad is so much more pleasing than an iPhone. Typing this paragraph into Safari is so much better on my MBP than my iPhone.

My iPad was $350 and it is one of my more used Apple devices.

I will not invest into the 1st, and likely not even the 2nd generation of foldable technology. There's not enough upside. One day maybe something will wow me but until then...

I like my phone to be a phone, so, $0.

That said, I wouldn't pay more than $800 for one even if I did want one. This $2k-$3k crap is a clownshow, people need to come back down to reality and come to their senses, new technology or not.

I'm not interested in this type of device at anywhere near these prices. I'm perfectly happy with a thin phone and a big tablet; a fat phone that unfolds into a tiny tablet isn't very appealing, and certainly not at the prices we're seeing.

Get the price down to where non-folding smartphones are now and I'll become intrigued.

Personally not really all that interested in a foldable phone (for you to change my mind, Apple) as I don't think it would perform the duties of an iPhone and iPad as well as a dedicated iPhone or iPad can. Worse is I also really don't care to spend over £1,000 on a phone, either. And this goes for any phone really. Nokia's new 9 pureview comes with the penta-lens camera for super HDR shots, which is quite interesting to me as I do like to do a little photography and as they say the best camera is the one you have with you. Despite otherwise being fairly flagship grade, that phone only costs about £550! For those excited about a foldable form factor though, great that you might well be getting what you want to see - I just hope you have deep pockets!

Tl:dr - there's numerous other innovations I'd personally much sooner see than a foldable form factor, and I'm unlikely to be spending over a grand either way.

LOL. Why do the people with no interest even bother answering this thread? Ignoring it would be a better option. No one cares if you have no interest. This thread is obviously for people that do. With that said, I'm a light phone user and while I am interested in a foldable phone, I probably wouldn't pay too much for one. I'd wait until the price was less than $1500. I'm also more interested in the RAZR type-- a palm sized device that opens into a regular sized phone.
