Throughout the house, my girlfriend and I have just about every processor put in a Mac over the last 9 years represented....an iMac G3, PowerBook G4, Power Mac G5, iMac Core Duo, and a MacBook Core 2 Duo.

This thread just seems to be a waste of time, most people have there computer stats in the signature.

I wanted a better feeling of what everybody's using because just from hanging around MR (admittedly, I wasn't on here as much last year), it seems like everyone has an Intel, and I sometimes felt out of date. But this thread reassured me.

When I read your post, I sort of wondered what kind of work a priest would be doing to need such powerful macs, so I typed in Craggy Island in google to see if you were at some place where ordained priests make films and do graphic design. According to wikipedia, Father Jack is fictional! Oh well...
:p

I have a G3, G4, and Core Duo in the house. I only use the Core Duo, but my mom uses the G4 and I'm fixing up the G3. We also have a P4 system.

I use an Intel Core Duo here. I also have a couple power macintoshes from the early nineties, but they never get used. I would definitely like a faster processor and more ram would be great, but I can't get everything I want.

My dual 1.8ghz G5 still rock and will for many years to come as My main production box.

My dual 2ghz CD MBP is actually a bit slower then the G5's but use a bazillion times less power. (wont say heat though cause I don't like to lie) I use this a a dabble/test ideas on/ and as something if I nuke the drive its ok because none of it is that important.

2.5GHz G5 in my Power Mac G5
2GHz Core Duo in my MacBook Pro
3GHz Pentium 4 in my PC (gave it to my parents, but it works for windows only games)
33MHz 68030 in my PowerBook 165c
100MHz PowerPC 603e in my PowerBook 5300cs.

And hopefully coming soon, quad-core Xeons in a Mac Pro.

G5 and Core 2 Duo, both at 2 GHz (sig for details).

I use the G5 for serious work and gaming, and C2D for some vid encoding, study, web surfing, iTunes, and when I'm on the go, cuz its a MacBook ;)
