I have a short contact list so I assign each contact a specific ringtone.

If I hear the Imperial March, pick up right away. Darth Missus👸 has orders to issues.😅

If I heard a Chocobo tune, it's the kids.

Frog's Theme from Chrono Trigger, it's extended family.

Ride of the Valkyrie, pick up. It's da Boss.

Von Suppe's Light Calvary, not on my contact list. Ignore. Besides it's a fantastic overture.🤓

I create ringtones from my favorite songs (created over 300 on my laptop) ranging in 30-40 seconds, and I rotate the default tone every couple weeks. For the main people that I talk to, they have their own ringtone. I’ve never been a fan of using the generic tones that come preloaded on iPhones.

For my ringtone it’s, Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid, used to be Sanford & Son theme
Text tone is Update.
Voicemail is Tri-tone, but I need to change that, maybe to Pink Panther theme or Peanuts theme.

My ringtone:::

the scene in Austin powers where fat basta*d comes out and says:

first things first! Where’s your sh*tter? I’ve got a turtle head poking out!

I have a spit sound for the text.

Ringtone: Old Phone
Text Tone: Ding

I'm using simple sounds for now :)
I like simple and subtle. But I need something jarring for high-priority incoming missives. One thing that HAS to be subtle for me is my alarm. A loud, noisy alarm first thing in the morning seriously messes with my chi. Ever since we had kids I became a light sleeper. So a blaring alarm is not necessary - just a gentle nudge. I use the theme from the movie Solaris now, volume set at about 30%.

This is a fun thread! I don’t often bother to login. My phone mostly lives in silent mode. For my bride to be, I use a recording of her saying the word “yeah”. The ringtone for her is the same, but with some music added that I created with logic. Here are the rest:

I use the alarm from the purge, and no matter if I had drunken night, I would always jump straight up out of my sleep after hearing that alarm.

Test Tone: Star Trek Communicator

Mine's a bullfrog. I was doing video at the Jacksonville Zoo a while ago and happened across a bullfrog in a pond singing loudly.

I separated the sound from the video and made it into a ring tone.
