Default Ring Tone is "Scotty Doesn't Know" from the movie Eurotrip.

I have a bunch of other assigned to good friends of mine. Most represent them well. :D

Wheres the best place for free ringtones ?, And what program do you need to make your own ?.

cheers

That's the thing, you don't. It amazes me ANYONE will pay for a ringtone.

Here's what you do (this is in windows, but I'd assume it works the same way in OSX):

1. Edit your MP3 to the desired length
2. Move the mp3 to itunes
3. Right click (idk what OSX uses) and select "convert to AAC"
4. Move the file to your desktop
5. Change the .m4a to .m4r

There are options in itunes to start and stop any song at any point, say, start at 20 seconds and finish at 60 seconds (40 seconds total). you can then just convert that file to an AAC and continue as normal (I have not tried it).

The ringtone cannot be over 40 seconds (I would keep it just under 40sec at the most). If it is longer, it won't be added to your custom ringtone selection on your phone.

I hope this helps. :D

Damn I thought I was being SOO creative!

I have the ringtone from Crank :D

I've had people tell me it sounds like my phone is drowning, phone's battery is dying, that it sounds like a cow (wtf?), and "something from a video game"

So far I've made about 40. Some of them are from Japanese bands the majority of you wouldn't know. A couple from Ramones and ELO. The rest are theme songs from:

Halloween
Escape From New York
Indy
ST:TNG
Dawn of the Dead
Serenity

I got an A Team one, Yo Gabba Gabba, Smurfs, you name it. I have more tones made at this point than contacts.

Right now my default is Stan Bush "You Got the Touch".

Currently set to Tokyo Drift.

I use iTunes to create custom ringtones or to convert other format files into m4r format (M4a files with a different extension) for free. The method works on windows as well.

Audiko.net - The best place to get iPhone ringtones (.m4r) and .mp3 ringtones for other phones. If you have a Mac, use Garage Band to make your own. Super easy. You can even make it fade out. If you're using Windows, you're on your own there. Ha :)

Thanks mate, Im on vista

"MmmBop" - Hanson.

That's right, I said it. I love the looks and laughs I get when people hear it...talk about breaking the ice in any situation, lmao. It never fails to make people laugh.

"Seven" - Dave Matthews Band.

Strictly for the S.O.

I have too many to list for different friends and family members, and I alternate between several as my non-custom ring.

Right now, it's Ironside from Kill Bill, but if I'm sleeping, or in too quiet a place, it scares the hell out of me every damn time. I like it in noisy environments, though.

And I like audiko.net and myxer.com. If I have something very specific I'm trying to do, I'll do it myself, but 9 times out of 10, I'll find it already done for me. :p

I use one of the rings I made (refer to my signature). Specifically, I'm using Classic Two.
